Since there's so much noise every day, it's hard to keep up with all of the key storylines and reports tied to various investigations. Big news today is often forgotten a week later in favor of a new deluge of updates and speculation.

This thread will serve as an ongoing one-year-anniversary repository where key discussions, "revelations" and predictions from both sides will be selected and reposted. I think it would be interesting (and funny in some instances) to look back on conversations from a year ago, with the benefit of hindsight.

Called it last night. The Kushner back channel was a non-story. On to the next attempt.

OR its just another person under investigation dumbass :lol

It'll be the next non-story....just like every single fucking tweet you've wasted bandwidth with was.

Hmm the cohen investigation is separate from the FBI investigation. TSA is too retarded to grasp that.

I don't care what investigation it is a part of, nothing will come of it. Just like nothing came from the 25+ people you claimed would be indicted.

Dems are postponing Carter Page's testimony indefinitely. Yeah they aren't trying to drag this farce on as long as possible :lol

Flynn has flipped

Nah, not yet anyway.

A sign would be him testifying and providing ALL documents. "Some documents" sounds like he's handing over what he knows is not as bad as the rest would be.

Yes he has.

The best part about Mensch is the fact that'll she'll be wrong and edit the story and retweet as if nothing was incorrect in the first place. She had a run a few days ago where she edited about 10 "exclusives" and reposted them all

But this being a witchhunt is one of the few where he is 1000% rightIf so many people around DJT hadn't been crooked, or stupidly lied about foreign contacts, or stupidly omitted to register as foreign agents, or stupidly lied to LEOs, there wouldn't have been so much fodder for the fire.

DJT hasn't exactly been his own best friend either. A little bit of message discipline goes a long way, especially when facing legal hazard.

"Nunes has subpoenaed three Obama administration officials — CIA Director James Brennan, UN Ambassador Samantha Powers, and, of course, National Security Advisor Susan Rice"

"The subpoenas asked the agencies to provide details of any requests made by two top Obama administration aides and the former CIA director to "unmask" names of Trump campaign advisers inadvertently picked up in top-secret foreign communications intercepts, congressional sources said."

Five years ago:

The prosecution and defense presented opening statements in the court-martial of U.S. Army Pfc. Bradley (now Chelsea) Manning over the biggest leak of classified material in American history. (Manning was found guilty at Fort Meade, Maryland, of espionage and theft and was sentenced to up to 35 years in prison; her sentence was commuted after seven years by President Barack Obama.)

A sharply divided Supreme Court cleared the way for police to take a DNA swab from anyone they arrested for a serious crime.

Hot take alert:

This is way deeper than watergate. Colluding with a foreign power, money laundering, espionage etc. The Supreme Court can invalidate the election and all of Trump's appointments. This is the first major case of Treason in US history. No precedent for this and cannot be compared to anything prior.

How can the supreme court invalidate the election? And why would the republican supreme court do it?

According to The Huffington Post, a 1995 Supreme Court decision suggests that the 2016 election could be invalidated.

Due to massive fraud that occurred during a state senate election in Pennsylvania, the U.S. Supreme Court allowed a federal district judge to invalidate the election, remove the winner, and fill the vacancy with his opponent.

What set this case apart was the fact that two elected officials revealed under oath that they had been aware of the fraud but failed to enforce laws and attempted to hide the truth. A similar situation has occurred with regards to Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, since Republican Senator Mitch McConnell was reportedly aware of the CIA’s conclusion and did nothing but express “doubts about the veracity of the intelligence.
