So does Uncle Sam tbqh

Give me an instance of the US completely destroying one of its own cities, killing 20,000 US citizens within the city, and then paving it over like nothing had happened.

Read about Hama.

Read about Hama.Just did.

It was an uprising led by the Muslim Brotherhood and others, brutally suppressed by Hafez al-Assad, which most SpursTalkers would blindly applaud now.

Thanks for teaching me something, pgardn. :tu

On the contrary wish Syria wpuld stop being riddled with Jihadis and everyone would go back home

Some peace would be good for everyone. They could regroup to prepare for the final battle. Far in the future

I prefer neither.

Unlike all-wise savants like you, it's not for me to say who should rule other countries. Self-determination and all that,

I prefer neither.

There is no “neither” choice for Syrians

Im asking what would YOU prefer. Pick one

Winehole23
06-01-2018, 12:57 PM
It's not for Americans to pick who rules Syria.

Our efforts to prevent terrorism in Africa, South Asia and the so-called Middle East have tended to create the sort of threats intervention was supposed to cure. Haven't you been paying attention?

Why do you think it's any different this time?

Assad has already agreed to call new elections anytime. USA doesnt care about new elections. They want Assad and all his people gone so they can install their puppet government.

And the fact that you are a voiding a simple question of an authoritarian secular leader vs a muslim jihadist is pretty telling and shocking.

Winehole23
06-01-2018, 01:12 PM
it's not a simple question.

neither is desirable. I'm not required to prefer one, so I don't.

If you're asking me whether Assad is better or worse than the forces arrayed against him I don't think that's an easy question either.

Oh its very simple to ask which you prefer, jihadist or a secular leader. I am starting to suspect you are not very familiar with the term jihadist and the beliefs of the Islamic State of Iraq and The Levant

The examples of Iraq and Libya have shown that to the general populace of the country and their neighboring countries, and the West l, the authoritarian leaders are much much mor preferable than the alternative.
