Being ringless is probably the only thing that is stopping him from being a totally repugnant human being. But as a hockey player he's deserving.

My point is that goalies aren't as prevalent as they used to be.
Quick is the odd one out, but today with a stacked roster and average goalie you can win the Cup.

Just ask Fleury.

With the Golden Knights holding a one-game advantage heading into Game 2 Wednesday night, William Hill could be three Vegas wins away from losing close to $2 million. One bettor is in for $1,000 on a 50-1 ticket. Another has $200 at 200-1. And there are many smaller bets that were placed at 250-1.

Casinos all along the Strip are facing similar circumstances, and the total liability in Las Vegas has been estimated at $5 million to $7 million, which would likely mark the city's biggest loss on futures betting.

Even with those odds, I can almost guarantee they're making money. They don't tell you how much money people put on the favorites (the field), which is pretty standard. Sure, they'll make much more overall probably if Washington wins instead of Vegas though.

Also... Doc Emrick's call at the end was horrible. Almost Joe Buck-esque in how monotone it was. The Capitals are a franchise that was synonymous with choking and heartbreak for decades, and he managed to put less emotion into announcing their Stanley Cup victory than he does into announcing a second-period shot on goal in a January regular season game. Bring back Gary Thorne.

It's so funny how great the NHL playoffs were when juxtaposed against the shitty ass NBA playoffs.

In the NHL you had a historically choker team go down 0-2 in the first round then come back to win, then come back from being down to knock off a team in Pittsburgh that they have never been able to beat, then come back from being down 3-2 in the conference finals, finally winning it all after losing the first game to Vegas.

Then in the NBA you had the Warriors breezing through everyone and conveniently having the other team's best player get hurt the second there was a little adversity.

:lol hey his stick was illegal tbh
Five years ago, with the Kings on their way to winning the 2012 Stanley Cup, McSorley revisited the illegal stick incident yet again, telling Vancouver Province sportswriter Tony Gallagher that while he full well knew he was using an illegal blade, the full story is seldom told.

"It's now been well-documented that Luc Robitaille, a member of the Kings at the time, was contacted a year later by a Montreal policeman who said his conscience was bothering him over the incident," Gallagher wrote. "Apparently, the cop was told to leave his post for a few minutes between periods while the Habs examined the Kings sticks so they'd know who was using an illegal one."

McSorley has said that Montreal's Gary Leeman has related how the Los Angeles stick rack was even in the Canadiens' dressing room.
