Now that I have my own thread to totally unleash all this knowledge, here goes.

Being well rounded is important to me, being able to talk a lot of different topics, subjects is a good thing.

The sci fi/fantasy/sword & sorcery/supernatural.....novel, is what I'm talking about now. The works of ERB, H.G.Wells, Robert E. Howard, H.P.Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, Fritz Leiber, Robert Heinlien, etc etc.

Conan....is without question THE read if talking heroic fantasty, the 12 books that tell the tale, a must read for anyone into sword & sorcery. Nobody wrote heroic fantasy like Robert E. Howard. His Solomon Kane, King Kull, Brak Mak Mon, El Borak stories must reads.....also.

Obviiously H.P.Lovecraft was the master of the horror and supernatural tale. His stories the high water mark in that genre. His only real rival, Edgar Allan Poe.

When it comes to classic sci fi....H.G.Wells, is da man. Nobody sold the ....what if....better than he did. His, War of the Worlds....riveting.

Olaf Stapeldon's ODD JOHN a fantastic read, a must read actually if sci fi is your thing.
