Sonics: Petro moving up the depth chart

Sonics rookie center Johan Petro continues to impress in training camp. "Johan has been terrific," coach Bob Weiss told the Tacoma News Tribune after practice Thursday. "He really runs the floor well and is a physical player. He knows he belongs out there." When asked to confirm whether or not Petro has moved up the depth chart past Robert Swift, Weiss could only respond with "It's still early, but he's played really well."

With starting center Vitaly Potapenko still out with a strained hamstring and second year big man Robert Swift's being ineffective, there is an opportunity presenting itself for Petro. Even if he earns a more significant role on the team, it's highly unlikely it will justify a roster spot in fantasy leagues.
