“Just watching our guys and how talented they are and how talented Houston is, there’s no way I could have played in the NBA today,” Kerr said Monday during Game 1 of the WCF. “I came around at the right time, 20 years ago.”

:wow

Obvious statement, but refreshing and honest take..

He's just massaging the egos of his players, tbh.

This and his legacy benefits more from being a coach than a player. Let's be real if he never coached nobody would have remembered who he is versus now people will know who he is 20 years from now.

The way guys like Korver and Redick have to shoot on the move without hesitation makes you appreciate the work they put in to survive as white Americans in a league that has eradicated their kind..

There’s a premium on three point shooting. And there’s less emphasis on individual man defense.

Depending on the team and roster, his role may change. But his elite shooting would give him more than a chance to stick.

For christ sake, Jodie Meeks has carved out a nearly decade NBA career doing absolutely nothing well but shoot the ball. I actually think right now would have been a better time for the Jimmer to come out of school.

kerr would just have to learn how to keep running around screens and shoot right off the catch. if kerr could get that down he could be an asset in todays game

I'd take Kerr right now at age 52 over Jimmer, that's for sure.

that argument only works if you actually make the shots..

He’s not lying. More than half of his 72 win Bulls roster wouldn’t make an Nba team today.

He pulled SA's ass out of the fire up in Dallas. That wasn't 20 years ago.

Kerr started a grand total of 30 games in his career. He couldn't be a corner 3 shooter off the bench in today's NBA?

Is Kerr overrating his own career/accomplishments
