There isn't really a point of releasing that information, tbh..he scored 51 in game 1 and they lost, he would have had to average 60 to have a chance in the series..

It would have been like the 2001 Finals, where the Lakers were caught off guard by Iverson and Philly..

Had they not rigged Game 1, LeBron wouldn't have punched a whiteboard and fucked up his hand over it, so this would be a moot point.

What is your take on Klay Thompson overall when evaluating his massive dip from regular season to playoffs for his career? He grades out as a below average player in the playoffs with over 6 years of data now.

Kawhi is the first option getting full defensive attention at all times, playing with the scrubs on loyalty contracts that PATFO surrounded him with. Klay is the third option on the most stacked team ever playing with Curry and Durbeta. It's sad that it's even that close.

1st option can't score more than a 3rd option

Quits on his team

Klay's best playoff performance was before they stacked when they were purely organic. In fact, he destroyed KD after KD destroyed Kawhi.

There's been rumors for the past 2 seasons. Will it happen? Doubtful. Lebron probably wants to stay in the East for the free trip to the Finals every year. Philly seems most likely. Unless Lebron's wife really calls the shots (she wants to live in LA).

I don't understand the LA rumors..he's already the biggest star in sports, doesn't need any movie or music connects, doesn't need marketing boosts.. basketball-wise, Lakers don't have a single A-level prospect and their front office probably can't pull any notable moves..

Indeed. Makes no sense why he would want to join a team that's nowhere near competing for title, which is also in the same conference and division as the Warriors. Could be the wife factor, though. Maybe Lebron is done competing for titles and just wants to defacto retire and coast with the Lakers.

Definitely true for the first 3 playoff years of his career, but he's been very good in 2 of his last 3 playoff runs IMO..elevated his game far more than in previous years..

He hasn't been a great finals performer at any point, though..his numbers don't necessarily reflect his impact, as his gravity and ability to feet with any teammates in any scheme is invaluable(might be the easiest player in the league to insert on any team)..

Bruh, outside of 2016, his last two playoffs? PER of 9 and 13.9. That is below average. So of the past 3 years forgetting the first 3 years, he’s really only had one really good playoffs.

Gravity I buy, but he has that same gravity in the regular season and his numbers are all-star quality. Yet, in the playoffs? His shooting and impact stats nose dive despite having that same gravity.

He gets to play with Curry who has insane gravity and impact stats, KD who does the same. I just don’t understand why he’s talked about like he could be a 1A on a good team when he’s basically been meh to flat out bad in the playoffs outside of a truly occasional huge game (because he’s such a great shooter)

Steph won b2b regular season MVP awards yet he hasn't been able to translate that to the Finals where a bench player won one, and Kevin Durant won the next two. Steph's ppg dropped by 5 in the playoffs vs RS. If a "great" player cannot average more in the RS than the playoffs, he's doing something wrong because the RS teams he faces are mostly sub-500 teams.

People talk about assisted shots, Kawhi's career average assisted 3pt is higher than Klay's. He gets more unassisted shots from 2 but Klay isn't a big 2pt shooter because he doesn't need to be on that team. If KL could get his shot off like Klay does, KL would probably not shoot as many from 2.

Had KL not won the finals MVP, I don't think there'd be a lot of talk on here about his offensive game. He's shown some signs, had some moments for sure, but he's yet to put it together to mean anything. Spurs beat Houston without him just as the Warriors beat them without Steph.

he Lakers did not announce financial terms, but a source told ESPNLosAngeles.com's Ramona Shelburne that the deal is worth $48.5 million.

Bryant, 35, will maintain his status as the NBA's highest-paid player over the course of the extension, the source told Shelburne. The 2007-08 league MVP will receive $23.5 million in the first year and $25 million in the second year of the extension, according to the source.
