Iguodala over Curry is such a frustrating one when you consider that he's the only superstar to get snubbed by a role player. It's not like Iguodala was at least somewhat on Curry's level, like Pierce was to KG. It was a guy who's worth 20 wins a season vs a guy worth 5.

You have to remember that the coverage of the Warriors was dramatically different in 2015..media, ex-players and fans were all furious that a jump shooting team was killing all their beliefs about championship teams:lol Curry was the face of that, of course..

If you played that series over today, he would definitely win it, since everybody has accepted the value of the 3-point shot .

2007 Duncan over Parker

Parker deserved Finals MVP since it was just based on that series..never understood why the award isn't playoffs MVP instead..

2015 Curry over Iguodala
2014 would be either Duncan, Manu or Kawhi
2010 Kobe or Pau
2008 KG
2007 Duncan
2005 Manu or Duncan
2004 Ben Wallace
2001 Shaq or Kobe
1999 Duncan or Robinson

Cornbread Maxwell won one over Bird, it's not the first time.

Tbh Curry is the only glaring mistake (for 2015, wgaf this year).

Pierce was the team's leading scorer and closer. He also played great individual defense in that series. Pau was great, but he wasn't so much better than Kobe that it was egregious. And Manu was great for 3 of those finals games. For the others, he was pretty bad. Tim led the team in scoring, rebounding, blocks, and anchored the defense while making all of the big plays in game 7 against one of the best defensive frontcourts in nba history

curry wasn't given FMVP in 2015 or 2018 because of 1 game in each series tbh... i dont remember that happening for other star players like kobe, duncan, lebron, etc.

curry had the "dellavedova game" in 2015, even though he played really well in every other game that series, and he wasnt given mvp this year strictly because of game 3. he was the better player in games 1, 2, and 4

David West: "Dude’s one of the greatest on the planet. Y’all ain’t giving him enough credit. He doing more for the game than Wilt Chamberlain did, but y’all steadily riding that man. This man changed the whole way the game is played. The whole way the game is played. He’s done with the 3-point shot what Wilt did with the dunk. He’s revolutionized the game. Nothing you can do to take that shit away. But he’s humble man. Steph is not a selfish guy. He’s not a selfish individual. He’s got a lot of things with him, and behind him, pressure. None of that bothers him. And, again, he’s a game changer."

That's a pretty good comparison..there are very few players that changed the entire game of basketball, Curry is one of them..

He was better but not nearly with the margin that Durant was in game 3. Also, Durant stuffed the stat sheet pretty well.

It's going to be hard for a guy who plays no defense to win a finals MVP, other than Tony Parker.

Meh, I'd say Mike D and coach Pop had more to do with the popularity of the 3 than Curry did. Curry just spread the defense even further because of the green light he has from anywhere beyond the half court, and his ability to make those shots. Many older head coaches would not have given him the green light to shoot those. He would have been benched right away if he did that shit under Pop and missed a couple early on.

I did the research in another thread like this. Magic won a lot of FMVP's he shouldn't have won.
