Kings: Abdur-Rahim and Thomas battle for forward spot

The Kings have a little position battle going for the starting power forward spot this preseason. Both Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Kenny Thomas have made clear their desire to be the starter and coach Rick Adelman told the Sacramento Bee, he considers Abdur-Rahim and Thomas two of the team's top six players, meaning they'll be plenty of minutes to please both players, regardless of who starts.

It seems highly unlikely that Abdur-Rahim, who has been a starter the majority of his career would lose the battle to Thomas, who has only seen a starting role on a sporadic basis. As coach Adelman said, the top-six players will see significant playing time and fantasy owners should take that to mean the Kings will go with the hot hand.
