The soccer crew gets more retarded by the day. MLB attendance is down a whopping 1785 per game, which was much a result of the terrible weather in April/May, and beyond that, the attendance drop can be primarily attributed to Toronto (went from 38,950 to 27,770). Apparently Rogers raised ticket prices and Jays fans are pissed. And Miami, who went from about 20,000 per game to 10,000. Yeah, trading away their entire core will tend to cause pissed off fans to not attend. So let's remove those declines and rework the numbers. 29,409 (2017) vs. 28,226 (2018). Basically noise. Chart of the day. During baseball's "golden age," attendance was around 12-15,000. It's more than double that now in a much more crowded sports landscape.
