Leonard wants a trade to Los Angeles, preferably the Lakers over the Clippers, league sources said. He has privately maintained that he no longer wants to play in San Antonio, and will eventually alert rival teams considering trades for him that his intentions are to sign in Los Angeles -- preferably with the Lakers -- when he can become a free agent in 2019, league sources said.

Like I said, the Lakers doesn’t need to give up any assets for him. Let the Spurs deal with the Kawhi soap opera next season (unlikely).

No other team would give up anything of value for an unstable guy.

And I feel for the guy (Pop). To be under this pressure while mourning the death of your wife? That’s tough.

If ESPN writers write about it, I believe them. I want to be like Ramona when I grow up.

He quit on his team for an entire season. He gets no benefit of the doubt.

Entirely possible his injury was misdiagnosed and he's telling Popped, Porker and others to gft's.

Harden played during the regular season and didn't quit from the beginning of the season until the end, and then stay away from his teammates most of the season including the playoffs, and then use Parker's comments as an excuse for getting pussyhurt.

He quit in the most important game of the year for the Rockets and ruined their whole season.

Kawhi quit for an ENTIRE fucking season. And then blamed an injury that no one could find anything wrong with. Pussy. He didn't have the nuts to just say he wanted out. He had to blame the Spurs for himself being a bitch.

Harden played and is playing the games he is contractually obligated to play. Kawhi is not. Nothing compares.

By that logic, Kobe didn't quit against the Suns because he played. In reality, everyone knows he quit. There's different types of quitting - players can quit on the court too.

Kawhi didn't even show up to the games :lol

Nor did he support his teammates. Hell he wasn't even in the same city with them :lol

Imagine being such a little bitch as to having your 70 year old mentor, still mourning for the death of his wife, driving aimlessly and desperately around LA because you aren't man enough to be face to face with him on the same room. He will be a perfect fit with the Lakers, tbh.

Are you autistic? This is the best possible bews for the Lakers. We don't have to give up any assets to get him and we also can see if he returns to form next season before taking an unnecessary risk. Please explain to me how this isn't great news for the Lakers

He has been using his own doctors since last August also. So can't blame the Spurs for his absence.

Kind of dangerous though if you're landing LeBron. No way James is just going to let the team hold out a $32 million max slot for a year to give Leonard in 2019. The Lakers really need to find a way to do a three way trade to get the Spurs something they want if they're thinking they'll be able to pair James + Leonard. If James doesn't join the Lakers then obviously you just sign PG13 and leave that max slot open for next year.

Not really. Could sign a couple vets to 1-yr "placeholder" deals that equal a max slot that expires in 2019.

i dunno why the lakers are so interested in pg13? his overhyped due to playing out east against lebron, who chase off all them pacers team mates, then goes west and struggles to put up the same numbers

Lebron will only go to LA if George goes too. If both are there, they will not be able to sign Kawhi as a FA next year. A trade this year is their only hope if they want to create this mythical super team.

Should the Lakers really want him? Yes in regards to the Leonard of 1 year ago, everyone wants that guy. Not sure he is anything close to that anymore. Seems like he is a soft, mentally broken crybaby now..
