People are always talking about how Golden State's defense inside the block is always weak. He would help out with that. Not sure he would sign there or if they are interested, but could be a good fit basketball wise for them.

I think James + PG13 + Cousins is a sure WCF team.
After Howard was traded a few days ago, it was quickly reported that several of his Charlotte teammates did not like playing with him. It was also reported that he would regularly ignore play calls, particularly in late game situations.
The same kind of stuff leaked out after he left L.A., Houston, and Atlanta. He wouldn't even run the P&R with Steve fucking Nash.
He is just about as far from "Spurs material" as it comes.

He can still play, but obviously he's got effort and attitude issues so that's a no go for the Spurs. He'll get picked up somewhere but probably not make the team better unless he goes to GSW. Which would be stupid.

I would take him cheap and with the understanding that he would play the David Robinson roll at the end of his career which is to block shots and rebound.

I think D Howard would benefit the Spurs from a basketball standpoint. Too bad he's caused problems in the previous locker rooms where he has played. He is easily an upgrade from Joffrey and Pau as far as skill and talent on the floor.
