The summer league title was the best professional qualification, especially if we're trying to rebuild through guards. She's been mainly a practice aide and scout, but she seems popular and the gasol endorsement was evidence of that

Personally not sure I think that is a border that needs to be crossed. And if she is that great a coach let her dominate in college and or WNBA and prove herself. She has never coached as the #1 on a high level and did not play in the NBA... Not sure she deserves the HC gig so soon if we are being honest about it.

You might be right but she is talented. And she was getting nods to interview for HC jobs everywhere so Pop was about to lose another talented coach.
