That way Lebron can't go to LA! If he does you trade Kawhi to the Sixers, and PG is staying with OKC. Lebron would not risk that.

No-brainer. Unless Pop/RC want to be seen as certified cucks for giftwrapping the Lakers a Superteam..

My gut tells me, reading the tea leaves, that Kawhi will go to PHI. PHI wants a star, Lebron is the biggest star available and once he goes to LA or CLE then PHI will turn more aggressively towards acquiring Kawhi.

In LA, he’d be in Kobe’s shadow forever (he’s not winning five rings there) even though he’s the far better player and teammate.

In Philly, he’d be a god if he wins just one title. Understand the Sixers have won more recently than the Eagles, but that entire team is going to be beloved there forever. And the Phillies of several years ago? Utley, Howard, Rollins & co. will never pay for a drink at a bar again.

Think about Lebron’s personality. Where does he build his brand more? Not to mention the East gives him a bye to the Finals.

If Kyrie had not bailed on Lebron, Cleveland would be trying to get George again this off-season. Kyrie leaving ensured Lebron's exit from Cleveland..

Whatever happens, get Kawhi out of town ASAP!!! Before the other teams see firsthand how bad his leg is

Don't even think about trading Kawhi until after James decides.

Why do the Lakers any favors beforehand?

Besides, anything LA gives us is crap.

Don't like anything that Philly is supposedly offering.

The guys they're supposedly dangling are guys that the Spurs already have on their roster.

I think LeBron is waiting to see what happens with Kawhi.

What? You don't want to take three pieces of garbage for an MVP candidate?

PHI is a good place for him, and Fultz might be better than anything the Lakers have to offer. I wouldn't mind Saric as well. Also, I like how it put pressure on the Lakers to give us Ingram, Kuzma, AND Randdle AND take on Pau's contract. Then we can bring Rudy back long term, and get Cousins on a good deal. Doesn't look half bad.

I don't know why Lebron would want to go to LA with the current team if there was no PG or Kawhi. Hes not going to get any further than he did with the Cavs especially in the west.

This! And if somehow PG joins him, and say Spurs don't trade for Kawhi. One of them will have to take less than the supermax to make space for Kawhi next summer. But I can see Lebron, PG and Lonzo doing well in LA. Especially if they can add Cousins.
