Update: Deng, who bruised his right wrist and hand in the Bulls' 98-86 preseason victory Wednesday night at Boston, was limited in practice Thursday but said he hopes to play Friday against Milwaukee, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Recommendation: Even if Deng is unable to play, the injury, though it is near the spot that required offseason surgery to repair a torn ligament, does not sound significant enough to sideline him for an extended period of time. With two weeks left before the season, look for the Bulls to be cautious with his return.
