Give me the Over, but just barely.

Give me the over [assuming standard health and games missed by Aldridge]. We had 47 last year with almost nothing out of the 3. Even a slight improvement should net us a few more wins. The teams that got better in the West we already lost to last year so there shouldn't be much fall off there. And the East is overall worse.

Put me down for 53 wins.

I think they win only 37 games next year

objective
07-09-2018, 03:24 AM
the under looks tempting

they had great health from Aldridge, and there's no guarantee that Murray improves offensively or that Pop will give any minutes to White over stinkjobs by Mills or Marco.

If Manu retires ... Under looks great.

It's a sharp number overall..

Over side: Spurs had historically bad luck in close games and blown leads, virtually no way to get worse guard play than last season, dealing with Kawhi shit all year, Gay will be better, Parker leaving is probably worth at least 3 wins

Under: Aldridge won't play as well as last season, Anderson out, a few teams in the West will be better(Lakers, Mavs) while nobody else got noticeably worse on paper, might not have the easiest schedule in the league to feast on early on like they did last season

Seems about right for odds making considering essentially the same team is coming back (if Manu stays). Feels like the under though

dbestpro

I take the over. Leonard or who he is traded for will bring a 15-20 pt. scorer in return that we did not have last year.

Pre-season win totals are the easiest way to make money betting NBA IMO..they're always wayyyyyyyy off on a couple of teams, just have to avoid injuries .

The easiest one I ever made was a Lakers under when Kobe came back from his Achilles..most inflated total I've seen since I started:lol

Early locks: Warriors under, Raptors over, Knicks under, Cavs under

spurraider21

how are they going to be worse than last year? i mean either kiwi is going to play or they're going to trade him for SOMETHING. last year they were playing with a max contract sidelined. if they replace that with anything remotely positive they're better than that. and they had 47 wins last year.

Jules_Winnfield

Southwest division is back. Grizz and Mavs won't be garbage like last year and the Spurs play 8 games against them.

Not related to Manu himself. I was thinking that if Manu stays is because he thinks we have a chance at competing. He always said that while he feels we can compete that's all he asks. So if he stays I believe he thinks we have enough for at least 50 wins. So, over.
If he is not there, I will assume he thought we cannot even compete, therefore, under.

I will cheer for my underdog team to beat them. You rebuild because you can't beat the Warriors? Screw that. Boogie is good but he is not a proven winner. He could be on the bench and they lost Mcgee who always killed the Spurs eith his length and quickness.

SW division has been the toughest division in basketball for many years now, even as Dallas had down years. It’s nuts to think the spurs might now be the weak team in the division.

This. If the return is a couple of glorified role players and a pick, under (Covington, Hart, any Clipper).

Too much of a grey area for me to bet at this juncture. Depends on how it all shakes out. A remotely decent return for kawhi puts you in over territory. Kawhi on the squad and playing is definitely in the over category. Kawhi refuses to play and hes not traded, then that falls under.

If i had to choose right now, i say 44 to 46 wins.

Well, valid question. That said, we will have a contribution out of the wing (point wing really) spot which was not productive last year. You should see improvement out of the 1 and 3 next year.

All of these teams could win 50 and still have almost no chance to win it all other than one team. The way the game is called today there is no room for a Cinderella or upset team. All that's left is lots of people wishing the game was a game.

Signing Cousins is baffling to me. They don't need him and the risk is enormous. Plus, a high likelihood he won't even play or be ready for the postseason.

If there is any tension he will be waived. Who cares?
No risk, high reward move.

Although Golden State appears to be unbeatable on paper, there could always be injury issues. Also I really think Cousins will be a huge mistake. He is "the most toxic" player in the NBA for a reason. Look how much better the Pelicans got when he left. Also they will not be able to pay all those Allstars after the upcoming season.

I guess. He's an asshole and a toxic personality. For all their success, GSW are a bunch of babies held together by the personality of Draymond Green and success. Inviting the league's biggest cancer into their locker room is a weird strategy, but I guess you have to keep things alive after so much success.
