Just 2 titles. He always choked to Russell. If he played in any future era, his stats would have dropped significantly.

He was a top ten player but not the greatest. He wasn't even definitely the best of his own era.

I wouldn't say he "choked to Russell" considering he thoroughly outplayed Russell individually. Russell could not stop Wilt at all, but Wilt could stop Russell. The Celtics were the superteam of that time, and Wilt didn't have the help, sort of like Lebron today.

I didn't watch him play but absolutely anyone I've met who's old enough to have watched him, Jordan, and everyone else afterwards says he was the best BB player ever

Talk to me about Wilt's track and field accomplishments?

Chamberlain took home the Big 8 high jump championship his junior year. Dude had hops.
But...but he was slow. Wrong...he ran the...yep...440 in high school with a 49 second time. Cat could fly for such a big dude.

So...yeah...he's the GOAT.

The highest vertical in NBA history is at 48 inches. Jordan came in at 46 inches. Darrell Griffith (Dr Dunkenstein) and Wilt both hit the 48 inch mark. Now tell me again how the players today are more athletic? He competed in track, the 440, and the shotput. He was witnessed bench pressing 500 pounds. There has been no human before or since that was the player or athlete that was Wilt.

athletically gifted, but doesnt mean he was playing at 110% abusing his abilities against midgets....

He may have been an incredible athlete but damn he looks so soft in games I have seen of his with that little finger roll when he should have been flushing on niggas constantly like prime Shaq.

The 60's era in which Wilt played, was a more physical era. There were no sissy flagrant or hand-check fouls during that time. Refs allowed those physical tactics go unpunished because the owners and NBA management believe that blood and violence was what brought people to basketball games back then. Every team had a center that was 6-9 or taller with most being 6-10 or taller. These centers carried weight and strength, not like the toothpicks of today.

he
He dunked a ball so hard that it hit the foot of another player, Johnny "Red" Kerr after it passed through the hoop and broke his foot. Wilt would be a man among boys in any basketball generation.

Wilt choked too much. He's probably somewhere down on Jordan's level.

There were only 8 teams when Wilt played. Imagine all the best players today jammed onto only 8 teams.

Wilt for sure was the greatest athlete in NBA history. He was going to fight Ali for the heavyweight championship in the early 70s but it fell through after Ali lost to Frazier.

I hear Wilt once dribbled the ball so hard in his street hoops days that he cracked the pavement.

i will give u an example,

say u had a 33inch vertical leap, u tellin me every attempt at a rebound, blocking a jumpshot u be using ur full 33inch vert? the only time these cats use the full 33inch is when they going up for a dunk

now if ur playin on the street without rules, how many are going to use the full 33inch jumping over ppls backs grabbin rebounds?
