I feel like this is wishful thinking, but man I will nut if he can turn DeMar into a serviceable bomber. Would open up a whole new level in his game.

If 40 years old Manu's still on the team and playing well Pop will probably give it to him, it worked quite a few times last season
It depends on who's hot really, although I guess DeMar will be the main closer just like Kawhi was, but LMA, Beli, Patty and Rudy could all get a chance here and there, Bertans as well if we need a quick 3

Mills, Manu, Belli, Bertans, Gay, DeRozan, and Aldridge in that order probably.

LMA will open up DeRozan’s 3 opportunities. I’m convinced Chip would work wonders, and DeRozan’s being a gym rat, he will prosper. LMA has been good in 3 quarters but never a closer. That’s how Spurs normally relinquished the big lead without Kawhi. DeRozan will be that guy to close.

Derozan will be the guy with the ball in his hands. He can choose to create his own shot or set up someone else.

Even if he's subpar from deep, you still have to let your best player do what he can. It's not like he's incapable of making a 3, after all. He's 30%. Just because someone isn't up to the "Curry standard" doesn't mean he's a miserable shooter.

I do wonder what are his clutch shooting numbers?

Where the hell was that confident young man when he was a Spur the first time?

He was there, he just couldn't play much in the 2014 playoffs because of his defense. In the 2015 Clippers series he was one of the, if not the most confident Spurs shooter throughout that whole series. He tried his heart out to help us win that series when he did get opportunities. Kawhi's nuts shriveled up, but Beli showed no fear. I was all over him during the 2014 playoffs because of his horrendous defense which made him almost unplayable, but after that 2015 Clippers series, he won me over with his mental toughness and fearlessness shooting the ball under the increased playoff pressure. When most of our shooters faltered, Belinelli didn't. He really showed me something. I even wanted him back, but the Kings gave him too high of an offer to be able to bring him back.

If he's not too expensive, he's definitely a player worth having on your team IMO.
