It's the media and casual fans' latest excuse to defend Durbeta's decision to join the Warriors.

They've used the Isaiah trade, the Blake trade and now the DeRozan trade to say "see, teams aren't loyal to their players, so you can't criticize KD for not being loyal to OKC!" Meanwhile, they ignore that most of fans' outrage has always been about the team he joined, not the team he left.

From what we know ...
1) Damon Stoudamire left Toronto the first chance he got
2) Vince Carter, arguably the biggest and best Raptors player up till this day, demanded a trade. The Raptors got Mourning, who refused to sign and was eventually waived for $10M
3) Chris Bosh left the first chance he got

The only all-star caliber player who ever willingly signed with Toronto once the contract was up, was DeRozan. He has stated multiple times that he wanted to stay in Toronto.

Then, from what we know, the Raptors told Derozan they were not trading him as recent as two weeks ago.

And then he was traded.

DD wanted to remain in t he pathetic east

bosh left when he was a fa? so i have no problem with that as long ur a FA, u can do decide where u wanna take talent to

should they kept the roster for 1 more year when lebron went west? dunno..but they did got rid of casey the coty...so whose to say they could still be what they are like the previous year? 1seed east but fodder in the playoffs? i doubt they wouldve gotten past celtics/76s with their current roster

Passive-aggressive outrage that the Spurs didn't gift the best player in the world to their Lakers, tbh.
