Generated 7/21/2018.

I expect him to play 25min per game and score 10 points (7 FGA) with 4 RB, 2 AST, 1 STL, 0.5 BLK

Dejounte's per36 numbers were solid, but he didn't much playing time in his first year due to injuries and also his poor 3P shooting.

6 pts, 2 rbs, 1 ast.

Will go up if Manu retires. I also predict he'll have a significantly better and more consistent 2nd year.

This is based on the assumption that Pop is going to be resting guys throughout the season. I could also easily see him getting buried on the depth chart since we have so many Guards and Pop won't put up with his young-player mistakes bullshit so he'll be on a short leash. If that's the case, he'll spend a lot of time in Austin this season. He will be interesting to watch for sure.

He’ll put up decent numbers in Austin tbh.

All I know is if Forbes sniffs a second more than him, Pop needs to reconsider retirement, tbh.

I think Walker is going to surprise a bit. Not big numbers, but his athleticism and skills at this point will have him produce a bit off the bench.

Idk. It would be nice to see him in the regular season. But I foresee him in Austin this year. If he does get in the rotation pop will make sure to give him some run though so. Optimistically 15 mpg, 7 ppg, 3.5 reb, and 2 assist, 1 Stl...

He has crazy athleticism but has a pretty small offensive repertoire in general. He will be fun to watch in spurts for sure.

It's not too small. He can hit threes, he has some good handles and moves, and is solid at long drives. These will catch teams by surprise. He could be a small scoring punch off the bench.

We will see. I like his sneakyness on some of those steals in summer league. It brought out the best in him. If he does break the optimistic predictions I put for him, I will be super excited and will put more credence in Popovich's statement that he reminded him of Manu. :flag:

Kid needs to learn the nuances of winning basketball.
Experience against good competition and good coaching will help him progress.
He has all the tools, just needs to keep that knee from being a prob.

6/2/1 in the big leagues, 19/6/4 in Austin.

g league all star. Cameos with the Spurs, mostly bench or garbage time in blow outs.
Large doses of Spurstalk bitching about Pop not playing rookies.

True. Cogent analysis that should stand the test of time. Especially the bitching part.

One point in his favor regarding playing time is that he looks suited also to play the small forward role...that's the one role we definitevely lack players at.

Given the fact that we don't have that many defensive wings on our team this year, he has the potential to play solid minutes for us if he were to focus on D. He can make the three both in catch n shoot and off the dribble which potentially makes him an upgrade from Danny Green.

He said he will give 110% on defense. I agree, I hope to see him play to start the season because of what he can bring on D. He also said he defense is always going to transition into his offensive game - https://www.expressnews.com/spurs-nation/article/In-Walker-the-Spurs-coach-sees-another-Manu-13092194.php

I'd love to see Lonnie having 15 mpg but he didn't seem that ready in SL...

He's 19 and there are several other young guards that are ahead of him.

I say 6 points per game. I think he's much better than Murray offensively.
