Stallone signs to film "Rocky Balboa" part 6 to the Rocky franchise (http://msnbc.msn.com/id/9728209/)

I don't know if it's been posted, sorry if it has,
I'm actually a very huge fan of the Rocky films. Grew up watching them with my family as a kid. Loved all of them. Was dissapointed when Rocky went broke in Rocky 5, but I eventually fell in love with it because I'm really loyal to the Rocky films.

Adrian dies of cancer, So Sly is alone and comes out of retirement and his son is a business man who doesn't have much time for Rock from what I read in the first pages of the script.

Mr. T (Clubber Lang) will reprise his role as a commentator now, Paulie's back and Antonio Tarver will play Rocko's opponent. This film is supposed to have the feel of Parts 1 and 2. I hear it's more sentimental and from the 1st 3 pages it seems really sad.

Can't wait. I've wiated a long time. :tu

Edit: Mr. T won't be in this film. Max Kellerman will be a commentator.

If Rocky came out in '76, nearly 30 years ago, that means Stallone is in his mid-to-late 50's. I don't remember how old Rocky was supposed to be, but he had a lot of fights on his record when it was announced against Creed in Rocky I, and looked to be late 20's to early 30's.

The bicentennial celebration was an important part of Rocky I, so unless Stallone bases the movie in the nineties or something, he's reaching.

So, you mean Rocky 6 won't have any of the realism of 3, 4, and 5?

He's at a senior center at age 85 and get's into wheelchair fights over some jello.

Then they setup a boxing ring and Adrian's like "Kill him" to rocky as he beats
down some 90 year old guy.

Spoiler alert! Apparently the plot centers around Rocky's defeated enemies (Clubber Lang, Ivan Drago, and Tommy Gunn-played by Mr. T, Dolph Lundgren, and Tommy Morrison, respectively) reviving the body of Apollo Creed. Desperate to defeat Rocky, they realize that Creed not only defeated Rocky once, but also helped train him, and thus would understand how to defeat him again. So Creed, mindwashed and out of control, is sent on a collision course with Rocky, who by now is in his sixties and wheelchair bound. But with the help of a magical boombox blaring Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger" Rocky is suddenly able to not only walk again, but fight. The chords of the music trigger Creed's memories and make him realize that Rocky isn't his enemy but his friend. The two then turn the tables on trio of Lang, Drago, and Gunn and in an epic battle defeat them in an unsanctioned boxing match.

Sounds like it's worth seven bucks, doesn't it?

When I was a kid, there was this other kid on my street who had a T-shirt that read, "Rocky 94 -- Can't Hear the Bell Anymore."

...yet another case of real life imitating parody.

I was listening to the script read on the Opie and Anthony show, omg it sounds like a flop. I was laughing my ass off! He's 60 years old! I just don't see it. But I'm sure its gonna be a sell out and number one at the box office.

Rocky was a feel good inspiring film, I personally would love to see another Rock film 30 years after the 1st one. I love the characters and I know alot of yall knock it, but I can't wait for the film.

Maybe it just reminds me of my childhood growing up watching all those Rocky films.
