It's not an issue of whether or not the guy can score on open looks. Can he defend anyone at all, can he set a pick, can he grab a board, can he pass worth a fuck? The local YMCA and gyms are full of guys who can shoot. Sure, Jimmer is a talented player and he'll make his career from it, but he's not NBA quality, at least that's what people who think Ricky Rubio can play actually think.

I'm shocked that a former BYU player from Utah is still hyping Jimmer up to this day. In reality, Jimmer was a scrub in the NBA who couldn't play any defense, couldn't play off-ball, couldn't create for others - basically couldn't do anything but shoot threes. He was given six chances in the NBA and never developed any skills besides shooting threes.
