That coffee kicks ass, it's like the taste of San Antonio but twice the caffeen.

I always use the Turkish grind, since I pour the hot water through a filter per cup, it's the only way to go, I find if you use the real fine grind you use less coffee. what grind do you set the grinder to?

Do any of you drink the good stuff? If so , what flavor is your favorite?
Thanks.

You would think someone who works the night shift would have a favorite coffee.

I think that Taste of San Antonio blend that they serve in the stores is some of the best coffee I've ever had (and I've drank a lot of coffee in my day). I bought some to brew at home, but it's not the same, just doesn't taste as good. I go in HEB very early in the moning when I go, and it ruins my day if they don't have the coffee ready yet.

I'll try that, thanks. I have a Melita filter set that makes single cups, but it's plastic (or nylon or something). I will get one of the metal ones and try it.

That one is cool. you don't have to buy filters every week, One thing is you will have some black tar at the bottom of the cup. my girlfriend does not like it but I love it, It's like the pure uncut caffeen. make sure you only put 2 teaspoons of coffee, when it's the fine grind its real strong. and I use the same coffee more than once. you just add one teaspoon the next time around. I make 8oz glass full. it's to strong for single cup.

If your going to make single cup just use one teaspoon, But I find pouring a full 12 once glass of hot water gets the coffee beans a chance to release the caffeen gold, now that I have you all juiced up? all we need now is a fourum we can post at 24/7 :smokin

I know about that little sludge. I'm using Gevalia Winter blend right now; it's a dark roast fine grind with some subtle flavors. Excellent! But, it has the sludge, too. I have a tiny single cup drip coffee maker that I use at work. I think the cup is about 6 oz, and I use 2 tsp of ground coffee for that (and you can't put more water than that in this little pot at once or it will run over); if I make three of those over the course of the morning, I get about 1 1/2 of my big mug that sits on a warmer. It's the perfect amount and it's always fresh and hot.

I don't think they have the Winter any longer, though. They do a lot of one-time special blends and this was from last year. I keep it in the freezer so it stays fresh. That pumpkin spice blend (showing on the home page) is outstanding, though. But, I have never had any of their coffee that wasn't good.

The only coffee I know of that has a high level of caffeine is called "Mother Trucker's". I didn't like it, it was too strong, even for me. I don't know where you can buy it.

I am not a big fan of vanalla flavored coffee, and I stop buying anything with the word french or france in it, I don't even watch Spur games if Parker is playing.

But I will give it a shot. Thanks
