I attended the Fox Sports Oktoberfest special in Los Angeles for Bayern vs Augsburg




So we arrived to the Fox lot as instructed. We were the first ones. They shuttled us from the parking to the studio and inside rather quickly. But from there we had to wait outside the filming studio for almost 2 hours while they brought over more fans in groups of 10 or so. Ultimately it was only 35 of us.


Once inside it was great as we all had seats available. I think they even needed some interns to fill seats plus the two mascots. They made sure everyone had scars so gave out all the Bayern ones and then a few from other Bundesliga clubs haha. Clearly Schalke is their #2 market team based on the mascot and raffle items included a-lot of Schalke gear.


It was a great experience into how Hollywood production works. The teleprompter and production crew etc. But ultimately it was interesting to see how Ian, Alexi and Kate interact with each other and do they actually watch the match or matches occurring? Ian definitely watched the Bayern match, Alexi watched most of it but they did both interact with fans and took the time to get into long conversations about Bayern, Bundesliga and Germany. Ian even asked about our weekly routine as supporters of the Club. Kate on the other hand....yah she's a Diva. During the 1st Half she was just talking to her assistant the whole time. I don't think she spoke to any of the fans. I'm not gonna say she is mean but definitely not the friendly easy going person she projects on telecast. Gorgeous as expected though, her legs especially. Almost every female working on the set was good looking.


Afterwards they had a BBQ, food and Oktoberfest band playing German classics in English. It was packed with people because I think they invited Fox employees to join in. Overall I was impressed and hope to attend again next year.

Lewandowski brought me to Bayern. I think he's started down a road last few days that is likely to fail. For example globally the few people that celebrate his Bundesliga accomplishments now dislike him. He's taking a gamble that might and even likely fail. Barca not having the funds to buy him, at a discount no less makes Bayern and him especially look bad.

Hard No on him going on strike. Ultimately why did u sign the extension. You are a captain and although you disagree with direction of club on/off, must ultimately respect your contract. Bayern signing a Mane to show they are serious about UCL while retaining Lewy would be ideal solution

We will try and improve for Euro 2024. Different tactics but ultimately this is the Native roster we have. Don't think we are much worse than the other teams in the same category.

We will try and improve for Euro 2024. Different tactics but ultimately this is the Native roster we have. Don't think we are much worse than the other teams in the same category.

A) USA was superior by many of these same standards just 30 years ago when we came in the late 1980s. That's how fast it declined (but Poland to its credit also improved after Iron Curtain fell and especially after joining EU).

B) My sister bailed 8 years ago back to Europe and I'm leaving before summer of 2024. Helping my folks sell their home.
