As far as I'm concerned, 1) it's the Astros, whaddya expect anyway and 2) it's only baseball, not the NBA.

Spurminator, though, has much more invested in this, and I'm worried that he hasn't checked in yet. Hopefully he's driving to meet Brad Lidge at IAH . . .

I need him to come in here and post how it is over, that Houston has no chance to win the Series now.

You know, that was one of the best World Series games I've ever seen. I actually wasn't too upset about losing it...

It's probably good that I was away from the computer, because I was trashing Jose Vizcaino up and down when Garner elected to pinch hit with him. Ended up looking a little bit silly.

I do feel that I've been off my game lately with regards to lending my mojo to the Astros. Truth is, I've been a little too optimistic, and I think it's hurting the team. But not anymore.

After this crushing loss, there's no way in hell the Astros will regain the momentum against the White Sox. The Sox are the Team of Destiny, the Astros are merely a footnote. I expect the Sox to win the next two games by a combined 25 runs, and the Astros will blow this thing up in the offseason. Bagwell, Clemens and Biggio will retire, Lance Berkman will demand a trade, Andy Pettitte will have career-ending surgery on his elbow and Roy Oswalt will be paralyzed in an offseason tractor accident.

Pettitte did HIS job. It's a shame Wheeler struggled with his control but then again, throwing a round, top-grain leather ball in rain and cold weather isn't exactly conducive to maintaining pin-point placement on pitches.

Now the White Sox will have to deal with the unknowns of Minute Maid. It's still possible to see the series swing to 3-2 Astros before they leave Houston.

If the Astros score more runs than the Sox they should be alright.
