So I assume they’d have a plan B for Butler, Klay or Durant...or just pay the tax? Kawhi would be taking $35M of that $36-$38.

Maybe have a final game for him where the other team gets paid to lay down while he chucks?

Luol Deng Los Angeles Lakers

2016-17 $18,000,000
2017-18 $17,190,000

Lebron is really turning the Lakers around, can't deny that. Players actually want to play with Lebron, you get the credit you deserve when you win, and when you don't, Lebron gets the blame.

perfect situation for Durant.

Speaking of Durant: http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/24525025/clyde-frazier-says-kevin-durant-gets-asterisk-joining-golden-state-warriors

I agree.
Nothing is promised.
I also agree if KL is healthy, he would be the best choice even over Klay.
Problem is, where do we fit the pieces?
I know everyone is in favor of "positionless basketball" but the pieces/skill-set still matter.
KL>>>>>>>>>>>>way better than Klay But we already have: Kuzma, LeBron, Ingram that all we will play mins. at SF
I know we could and would sacrifice BI for KL as anyone would based on what we know now.
But I am still a big believer in Ingram and hope to see him develop as a Laker.

I do believe and trust fully in Maginka so I will sit tight.

Oh and thank God, Deng is gone!

The Lakers now have an open roster spot. Anybody out there worth having on a 1-year deal?

Does Tyson have anything left in the tank? I'd rather Zu. I think Zu will get some burn this year. He looks to be in really good shape. LBJ makes bigs look better than they are.

But if you promise me he won't dieded, Bosh would look great on a 1-year deal :D

Well see what Maginka do with this cap space. I don’t want klay here not because of talent but because it would be stupid for 08 lakers to sign ray Allen and same situation here. Let’s beat the competition not buy it. Prefer lebron+Kiwi+?

Either way...I bet Jim buss explains why he fucked the lakers so hard everyday of his life pretending magic stole this moment from him after all the sacrifice.

They can likely clear up to $54 million or so by salary dumping Ball and Ingram as well as renouncing their one year rentals but keeping Kuzma and Hart. It would leave them about $22 million in capspace after signing mute faggot to a max deal. Leonard could only command a starting salary of $32.7 million next summer but the cap hit would only be around $32 million since it would erase one of the empty roster spot under 12 charges.

Teams that develop their own talent command a much deeper response from fans and winning feels more impactful. When you just buy mega stars like Lebron or Kawhi or Durant those Ws will never feel as meaningful.

I thought they were bringing an ugly brand of ball to the game and didn't respect their preferential treatment from refs but honestly yeah I respected their 2015 title way way more than their mail-it-in championships of the past 2 years.

The Lakers are turning into the 2002-2003 Spurs more and more:
-Young players the non-Laker fans are prematurly burying like people did with Ginobili/Parker and even Stephen Jackson.
-The 99* talk (unproven until they could ring in a full season.)
- Nobody seeing them as a threat and this being viewed as a rebuilding season despite them winning 35 games last year without the best player in the world.
-A young, versatile roster that is going to thrive next to Lebron. That bench is deep too.
-Now they have money for a max player next Summer.

This Laker team is going to be dangerous this season. Lebron’s impact is going to be huge. Other players will be stepping up as well. Nobody sees it now but they will once this team clicks.

True to an extent.

But the lakers went instantly from a place to avoid to basketball hot town instantly. All because of Lebron.

Are they going to win a title soon? I’m siding with no. However turning from laughing stock to hit destination is turning things around.

Because Durant is so thinned skin and stupid at the same time, I can definitely see him joining LA as if it would be more of a "challenge" to dethrone GS as the best team.. I bet it would make him feel better inside about all the comments people are making about his cupcake ring chasing even though he'll get clowned just the same for joining another stacked team

Bullshit. Some of LeBrons Finals appearances have reached Timmy Duncan levels of kick ass.
2015
2016
Last year he was completely burned by phaggot WarriorRef or who knows what would have happened after Game 1s win was rigged to DurPhaggot.

Lakers definitely have an entirely new attitude just by LeBron joining the team, having not played a game yet.

Kirby is a pussy who never had to lead a team nor play any defense. For Gods sake he asked Mr. Vanessa to call Animal Control when a hummingbird was on the loose in his living room.
A better comparison would be Timmy Dunkar, who did indeed have some slow years not only after the last real NBA Championship but even a few years before, such as when he was left on his own in the playoff paint with Matt Bonner being sent out by Greg Poppycock.

But even after 2014 you saw a Duncan anchored defense contend. Now is the Laker cast as good as Duncans cast? Well no. But LeBron is only 33. Dunks didn't significantly drop off until his last half season at 39 due to injury.
