They've changed their story thru their mouthpiece defense liarwyer.
The boyfriend mentioned in a TV interview that "$500 that he spent at the casino because he didn't have his casino card, but he paid that back." Now they admit (well their defense liar now tells Homeless Guy Bobbits lawyer) there is NO money left in the account for homeless guy. Judge finally had enough of their bullshit and is ordering them to testify on Monday.

400K was raised thru GoFund me.

75K purportedly given to homeless guy.

= 325K unaccounted for.

left Johnny Bobbitt Jr. previously homeless
Mark D'Amico center boyfriend of
Kate McClure right, pose at a CITGO station in Philadelphia. When McClure ran out of gas, Bobbitt, who is homeless, gave his last $20 to buy gas for her. McClure started a Gofundme.com campaign for Bobbitt that raised hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Police raid New Jersey couple's home

Footage taken from the scene showed a shiny, black BMW car being towed away from the Bordentown property owned by Katie McClure and Mark D’Amico. Other videos showed D’Amico hitting golf balls off the lawn surrounding the home and ABC6 reported bags of items being loaded into a law enforcement vehicle.

Yawn.
More lawyerin and legal bullshit.

Mondays scheduled appearance by the couple to be forced to account for the money is now postponed until at least Dec 7th.

Listen to this bullshit: Earnest Badway* (defense liarwyer for the couple) also wrote in the motion that D'Amico and McClure are "unable to defend themselves or respond in any meaningful way" to requests for financial statements made by Bobbitt's lawyers because the couple no longer had access to the records. <Fabbs here, put some of that on your lawn and watch it grow>

"Additionally, since it is expected that one or both of the Defendants will likely be indicted (in a criminal case), my firm and I will no longer be able to continue our representation of them in this matter," the filing states. The motion did not elaborate on why the firm could not continue to represent McClure and D'Amico in the civil case if there is an indictment. (for the criminal case). <psssh. ya right. The firm did not respond when asked why not.>

*Ernest Badway. What a perfect name for a schemey liarwyer.

Wow, all three are purported to be in on the scam.
Homeless guy a part of it, not a victim?

Mark D'Amico and Kate McClure, a South Jersey couple who helped raise thousands of dollars for Johnny Bobbitt, a homeless man who they said helped them in their time of need, may face conspiracy and theft charges along with Bobbitt for making the whole story up. TODAY’s Craig Melvin reports.

(CNN)GoFundMe has made refunds to thousands of people who donated money to a feel-good story that police say turned out to be an elaborate scam.
A New Jersey couple and a homeless man are accused of concocting the scheme, which raised more than $400,000.
"All donors who contributed to this GoFundMe campaign have been fully refunded. GoFundMe always fully protects donors, which is why we have a comprehensive refund policy in place," said GoFundMe spokesman Bobby Whithorne. The campaign had attracted some 14,000 donors.
