Thanks for the 2014 championship Boris. While Timmy Duncan was epic in OT in game 6 in OKC and Kiwi had a terrific clutch block on westbrook and all... Boris had one of the most impressive games of his career (granted I watched him for only a portion of said career) in that game 6 and had over 20 points... Amazing talent but laissez faire... Still a very, very interesting player personality and fun to watch. He was enjoyable when he was having a good game.

Thanks:bobo Borisssssssssssssssss

When he was engaged and locked in, he was scary for opponents, because he had such a broad skill set to deploy. Unfortunately, that was far from often. He infuriated fanbases everywhere he played, causing PHO fans to refer to him as Doris Meow. The closest analogy that I can find was Bison Dele, another very talented player who had basketball about 5th on his list of interests.

He stopped caring after 2014. Pop tried for two seasons to re-motivate him, and nothing worked.

True. I think Boris was on the downswing anyways. HIs following seasons were not as good as 2014 and he was satisfied and happy... his hunger for the game was satiated so to speak. He still had talent tho.

I wonder, in the world of hypotheticals, if you switch out Boris with Gasol in 2014, does that team win a championship? I don't think so.

Thank you for the 2014 Championship. Very talented and very high bball IQ. I wish we had him earlier in his career. He was one of the best passing big men. I think he had a great career and enjoyed until it lasted :bobo

He wasn't the same after '14. I loved the motivated Diaw, but the unmotivated version only hurt the Spurs. He was horrible for Utah the next season.

When the spirit moved him, one of my all-time favorite players to watch. The '12-'14 Spurs were the best thing I've ever watched in sports and after the biggest 3, he was right there with Green for me . . . and no, I didn't leave Leonard out because of what transpired over the past year. I'd have said the same thing previous to that.

Thank you Bobo! He was instrumental in those wins during our championship! Excellent passing and would clog the paint! One of my favorites! He should never have been traded! He spoke with all of us Spurs fans waiting at the airport when they lost in 2015. For some reason, as they were exiting the airport to leave, he wasn't able to leave due to some stoppage. He was at a stopping point in front of us fans and he had his windows open on his car. Fans were talking to him and taking pictures and he talked to us. Real cool dude! He was awesome! The cop was cussing up a storm because the traffic wasn't moving smoothly and thought us fans were going to attack Bobo like we would ever hurt our players!

Have fun on your travels Bobo! Enjoy your retirement, you earned it!:bobo

PATFO and Bonner slurpers still contend that the Spurs lose in 2014 if Bonner didn't pull Ibaka out of the paint for one quarter in that entire series.

Never do they remember to mention, however, that this strategy had been used for years, but that choking faggot Bonner never really made teams pay when it mattered until that one game. :lol

Don’t ever think Of Boris, even fat Boris, as unathletc. There was the story about the time in PHO where they were working out prospects, and checking their verticals. He asked if he could try, took off his flip flops and put down his coffee, and cleared the rack in his first attempt. If you know what a spark plug gapper is, imagine a very large one in the horizontal plane, you jump and slap at it, and whatever slats are left, you measure that height, and subtract the players height to get their vertical, either standing or run up. There were no slats left. Just because he chose rarely to dunk doesn’t mean he was unathletic. An unathletic player would have zero success checking LeBron in 2013.

Wish he'd have retired a Spur. Great thing about 2014 was the team chemistry, with so many different guys playing so well. No superstar, just an incredible team harmony. And Boris was one of the central guys fueling that cohesion. Probably my favorite Spurs roster of all time. Duncan, Manu, Parker, Diaw, Splitter, Green, Mills, Leonard (young and uncorrupted) all gave some outstanding performances in those playoffs. Even the other guys like Cojo, Baynes, Belinelli, and Bonner had big moments. FMVP could've been Duncan, Manu, Leonard, or Diaw, tbh. Kawhi had 2 monster games which everyone remembers, but the first 2 games of that finals series he seriously under-performed.

Also this!
