And then, it ends up Banks was the one stealing from KG, too. One of the articles says that KG's money was still disappearing all the way up til Banks got sentenced.

One of the most overrated big man of all time. He is the ultimate can't lead a team, but put up big numbers type of guy. The dude missed the playoffs twice in his prime and lost in the first round every other time except once. He was on his way to becoming the Carmelo Anthony of his generation before the Celtics trade. Granted the 08 was truly special and he was a big reason why, but I feel like people remember that KG and not the one that routinely got destroyed by Dirk, Oneal, Duncan, old man Dream, Kemp, and others in the playoffs.
It's not that he just lost in the playoffs, it's just that he whimpered out in them. Seriously go look at his playoff record in Minny. It's pathetic.

KG is a bigger name, he had the NBA hype machine propping him up to help restore relevance to the Celtics. The '03-'04 Pistons was a true collaborative effort, all the players on the court knew their role, had great execution, their style of play complemented each other, that Pistons team was more than just three great players doing the heavy lifting.

He didn't change the culture, just upgraded washed up Cliff Robinson. Pistons were already a top 5 defense with DPOY Ben Wallace anchoring the middle, their issue was lacking a 3rd scorer.
