He couldn't have been talking about quarterly because even Obama's administration had hit over 3%, 4% and even topped 5% quarterly growth so it wouldn't make sense to say that it can't be done. This year so far Trump has had an average quarter with 2% and a great quarter with 4.2%. We'll see if it can be sustained or if that great 2nd quarter was due to everyone trying to get ahead of the tariffs.
