Not that it matters Bama could probably beat the All Big 12 Conference team.

Wonder which two conferences will be left out with Notre Dame in. PAC-12 for sure. Clemson could lose as well with their QB situation and no other ACC team has a chance. I think Bama and OSU will get in. Big 12 is looking much better this year but not sure if any of the teams can remain undefeated.

I went to the LSU game yesterday. They look really good.

Bama travels to LSU this season. May be the game of the year in the SEC.

I feel pretty confident that Texas is better than both Oklahoma and West Virgina. But with that said, I fully expect Texas to lose another game just not one of those two. My guess is Texas drops either Okie Lite or Taco Tech

This Miss. St/Auburn game marks the 10 year anniversary of the WORST football game I've ever seen.

Bulldogs lost 3-2. And this game wasn't a "defensive struggle". Both teams could move the ball, but couldn't get in the endzone. Then came all the missed field goals. Mississippi State has lost to some really bad teams over the time I've watched them (Maine immediately comes to mind). But, that Auburn game was by far the WORST game I've watched. I can't think about those teams playing without thinking about that shitshow.

TheCultOfPersonality

So instead of letting one of the best runningbacks in the SEC decide the game on 3rd and 2, Kentucky decided to let the one of the worst QBs in the SEC pass on 3rd and 2 and take a 8 yard sack. Yeah, Kentucky deserved to lose.

That midget Purdue WR Moore is ridiculous.

OSU looked like they were sleepwalking the first half. By the time they kind of woke up, the game was already out of hand. And say what you will about made-up, pseudo inspiration. The kid with terminal cancer obviously became some sort of emotional motivational force for the team and their effort. Pretty crazy and unexpected game.

The schedule hasn't been that hard, but tbh their schedule is about the same every year.... except this year they're putting up 55 PPG while still maintaining a top 5 defense.

Bama's offense isn't good. Tagliavoa is nothing special and teams would be foolish to draft him before, say, the 4th round in the NFL. Even that might be too high. Coker was better than him.

Bama's defense is Godly however... Saban's had some great defense but this is the 85 Bears of college football...

So an ex point/kickoff.

The starting QB is now back in, he throws a pass right to a guy named Elias Ricks, pick six.

Has any cornerback ever scored two TD's in two plays? And he wasn't done.

I knew Mississippi State was going to blow out the Mississippi. To me there was never any doubt about that. The only shocking part is that Mississippi State only scored 35 points instead of 55.

I still don't get how the pirate hasn't been offered a premier coaching job yet. Taking Washington State from the cellar to being a top 10 team would have gotten anyone else an offer from an elite program.

No kidding. I guess he's still seen as being too quirky. Could you imagine a guy like him at a place like Notre Dame.

Lol he finally got asked up front if he would go back to Tech...he started griping about how they still owe him money from 2009. In so many words, not only a no but a FuckNo.

Their excellent QB was out for two games.

tbh that's a good point. Now that Texas Tech has plunged back into irrelevancy after he left and the fact that he's now taken a second school from the cellar to a late season BCS darkhorse it would make sense that somebody would take a chance. I wonder if the fact that he's a couple of eggs short a dozen really draws people away that much. He's hilarious from a distance but seems like a major pain in the ass to deal with in person.

He also doesn't seem like the type of guy who'd like to be at a premier school. His personality is the type that he'd rather be at a lower tier school, so that he can do whatever he wants and have complete control as opposed to a school like Florida/Michigan where they'll always be turn and churn

He was interested in the Tennessee job last offseason and the way Tennessee handled it was very strange. This article sums it up well, the athletic director was fired for simply showing interest in hiring Leach.

http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/21687509/mike-leach-spend-entire-career-outsider

You're probably right that he might just not have any interest in a premier school like Michigan where the coach is under a microscope, I guess I'm surprised that even tier 2 programs like Tennessee (the same school that was willing to hire Lane Kiffin, someone who regularly made an ass of himself and is widely considered to be dirty) is so against hiring him. His teams have always been elite offensively even with mediocre recruiting talent, if he was at a tier 2 school like Tennessee that was able to draw enough talent for a defense that could at least be respectable, his teams would be legit BCS contenders, imo tbh fwiw.

Smart said the Bulldogs were supposed to snap the ball before Alabama realized that Swift was open."[We] thought it was there, and it was there today," Smart said. "We were going to snap the ball quick. We took too long to snap the ball. They didn't have a guy covered. We had a guy wide open. We took so long to snap it that they recognized it and got the guy covered late."

Yep, Texas not all that.

Jalen Hurts has gotta be the coolest QB we have seen at any level. That expression he has, love it. His story....Hollywood, especially if we see the same thing again in the title game.

Bama/Clemson/Oka/OSU is what we need, ND simply doesn't below there...But...Knute Rockne, The Four Hoursemen, win one for the Gipper, the golden dome and touchdown Jesus will never die.

The big difference in ND is overall team speed especially with the big guys. They are so limited in who they can recruit for the obvious reasons.

I think that with his controversy the committee wanted to avoid putting Urban Meyer in the playoff if at all possible. If UCF didn't lose its starting QB I bet the committee would have even put them ahead of OSU (and Michigan for that matter).

It's still a pretty imperfect system imo to have a committee subjectively judging which team is #4 and which team is #5. If Notre Dame gets shellacked by Clemson the committee is also going to need to address the fact Notre Dame has the ability to give itself a cupcake schedule and then make the playoff over superior 1 loss teams.
