Venom is large and more aggressive and power powerful spiderman. You're supposed to be scared shitless of him, he's basically an alien monster spiderman.
THEN once you've built up and shown the audience the power of Venom, do you introduce Carnage, who is batshit crazy, uber powerful, and makes Venom so scared and angry he has to enlist the help of Spiderman.

You can't just consider Venom as an entity in a Carnage universe, you gotta go chronological that's what made those classic spiderman arcs so great

And then the new spiderman is some 5'4 12 year old little boy who weighs 120 lbs. They never get the right actors and always fuck up the comic book storylines which are superior to whatever pc bullshit they come up with.

In the comics, peter parker is some skinny 5'10/5'11 165lbs nerdy guy who gets bitten then gets jacked up like 20 more lbs.
