The return of the purple and gold dynasty is upon us. Two huge wins over the always tough Bobcats. Kobe has found the return path to NBA glory. 52% shooting in the preseason.

You have that wild haired Manu dude...we have the versatile Lamar. You have that shrimp Parker...we have Mush, uh, I mean Smush. You have Duncan (had to look that one up)...we have the soon-to-be allstar Kwame. You have Nazr...we have the double/double machine Chris Mihm. You have Blowen...we have Kobe. You have Uncle Pops...we have the ZenMaster. You have the NBA trophy....we have a good sense of humour?

Good to see you, Hollywood.

Are the Lakers actually going to use Smush as their starter? I saw he's having a decent preseason, but that can't really be their plan, can it?

Poop, piss, semen, anal leakage, fart, Dirty sanchez, rim job, and Feces. Thats what I think about that.

You can't knock a guy for being a good-natured homer. :)

Hi Kori. yeah, he's been starting all pre-season. He's gotten a little better since being abused by Baron Davis in that first game, but, yeah, it's a joke. They don't have a PG. That's fine for the offense because of the triangle, but I don't see how they're going to stop anyone on defense. I'd be shocked if this team won more games than last season. I'm setting the expectations low and hoping for the best!

Well that's all you can do.

You never know.. Chris Mihm could break out and put up monster stats. :)

If they stay healthy I see 45-50 wins...that's what they were last year prior to the head coach implosion and Kobe/Odom missing all those games. Now with that being said...their PG situation is pretty bad, plus their bench is sad. We'll see, Kobe's playing really well right now and Kwame is showing some nice plays. Funny post HK.

Yeah, sense of humor certainly helps.

But what matter if anyone but Kobe plays well or if they have a pg - it's not as if he generally allows anyone else to touch the ball . . .

I don't know; with that lineup and the ZenMaster at the helm, I could see the Lakers putting together something like 80-82, maybe even 83 wins in the regular season. With that group, overachievement (even overachievement that defies the schedule) should never be discounted.

sigh

I actually miss the Lakers.

:lol Always great to see people with a sense of humor around here, even if you're rooting for someone else. With any luck some people will keep Hollywood in mind before they start the annual race to lynch Pop.

They better win the division or they're chokers!

Hey, Smush is awesome; he almost beat out the legendary Horace Jenkins for a roster spot last year. :lol

Kwame Brown is crap. Dude can't board, and his free-throw stroke is Dudley-esque at best.

How has Sasha looked during pre-season?

I don’t see Sasha playing for Phil this season...The opposition throws quick double teams & traps & in all honesty, Sasha gets rattled...The Lakers are just looking for PG’s to protect the ball...

I hope the Lakers continue to work with him because he is a great shooter, a real nice person and at 6’7” he has the potential to be an outstanding NBA PG.... :smokin
