This Sunday we're going to go out and execute.....execute....and by execute I mean we're going to execute the starting quarterback for the Jaguars. That's right....we plan to decapitate Blake Bortles.....plan to decapitate him......you see....by executing the other team's starting quarterback.....that gives you a better chance to win in the National Football Leage…...and by National Football League I mean the Football League that's national.

Blake Bortles is a good football player.....and he's a good football player in all three phases......offense, defense, and kicking game.....when you play well in all three phases you have a good chance to win in the National Football League......

Right. Even if they go 4-12 there will be lots of excuses and a get out of jail free card.

at this point, even injuries/shitty players aren't an excuse for the GarrettBot. When Romo went down for the season in 2010 and the team looked like shit, they still fired Wade Phillips after only a few games. People can stay stuff like "the team atleast doesn't quit on Garrett", but why does it matter when the results are the same?

they definitely quit on him towards the latter part of the 2015 season and for the first half of Zeke's suspension last year. maybe not 2017 Giants bad but it's trending that way. Both for Dallas and the Giants at the moment.

Seattle's offense is back. Last week, they were a 4th & 1 stop away from beating the best team in football and the 2nd best team in sports... their defense is iffy without the elite safeties but they should be a 10 win wildcard team this year and better next year, tbh. Especially as Wilson's hamstring heals up. Wilson's deep ball accuracy has gotten scary elite this year.

And why do you not all out blitz on 3rd and 18 on the ensuing defensive drive? Don't even need to play contain because Brady is too slow to run for 18 yards before someone catches up with him.

even if they played like today, they don't win a playoff game. the offense really wasn't that good, most of the yardage was trickeration and running, it's not like Prescott turned into some juggernaut, and none of the outside receivers or tight ends really showed anything more than average play. The defense was more lucky than good, especially with the fluky turnovers off tips and a fumble, and they still struggle in coverage. Their linebackers tackle well but that's about it. Lawrence is overrated. Also, they were playing the worst starting QB in the NFL.

Not many teams can compete with the Saints long-term. Elite QB, elite RBs, elite WR, elite OL, very good d-line. But the next few month and a half will show how good this team really is.

If the Rams ram the Saints a new Katrina at the 'Dome, it's going to be hard to justify actually competing to win Brees a second ring.

But yeah, the whole next 5 games are tough, except maybe Atlanta at home. Two road games against the best two AFC North teams who are both over .500 right now, Vikings away, Eagles and Rams at home... yikes.

Just need to figure out the WR situation - Austin looks like he wants to step up. Beasley has some pretty good chemistry with Dak and is running incredible routes. Need more consistent play from Swaim and Jarwin had a big drop for a huge gain. If Zeke gets hurt we are f'd.

Defense looks great w/o Lee - pro bowl CB and Heath has been more than we can ask for at safety. Our DE/LB's are top 3 in the league easily.

Anyone but SEA or GB in the playoffs and we have a really good shot at the NFC. Eagles are looking incredibly fallible even with Wentz playing lights out.

Only question will be if the Saints can slow the Rams offense. The Saints offense looks unreal right now especially Brees. I like their chances at home. The defense is improving each week especially with how the d-line is playing. But we’ll learn a lot more about this Saints offense on the road next week at Baltimore.

Austin is another slot receiver for the most part. Gallup, Hurns, Butler... someone needs to step up. Pretty sure Williams is done. Maybe trade for Cooper?

The young LBs are elite tacklers. Think they need to make Lee a coach and keep his same salary (won't count against the cap), when he was in early in the season his agility was noticeably bad.

Jarwin is hot garbage and has been since preseason. His highlights in the regular season have been... fumble, drop, dropped onside kick recovery, drop, drop, 1 meaningless catch, and drop.

Gathers is slow off the LOS but fast when running and he looked really good today when we got him the ball. Very tough to bring down. I'm all for giving him more opportunities to be the #2 tight end at worst (and the main non-in line tight end).

Eagles have an elite passing game and defensive line (when Jernigan is healthy), but a poor running game and below average coverage in secondary.

Only question will be if the Saints can slow the Rams offense. The Saints offense looks unreal right now especially Brees. I like their chances at home. The defense is improving each week especially with how the d-line is playing. But we’ll learn a lot more about this Saints offense on the road next week at Baltimore.
I think they can beat Baltimore even in Baltimore. Brees won't take double digit sacks. Need to get the running game going early because the Ravens struggle a bit against the run. I don't think the Rams can hold NO under 30, then again I don't think the Saints' bad back-7 can hold the Rams under 35.

Yeah Eagles WR are scary but no running game

Eagles defense doesn't look that great and I've watched two full games this season

Need the old Butler to make some plays but I haven't seen the OC use him much

We need Rico to win the one on one coverages and be a big target in the endzone and block for Zeke

Millennial_Messiah
10-14-2018, 07:43 PM
Its like Josh McDaniels is impotent and the only thing that gets him hard is Cordarelle Patterson sweeps for 2 yard gains.

Michel is a noticeably worse route running back than White, Burkhead, Woodhead, etc.

Butler has been out injured the past couple weeks. He was Dak's best deep target the last two years and can win the back shoulder fades as well as Dez did, with far less drama.

Wendell Smallwood is the Eagles' bell cow for 2018 and possibly further unless they draft a back high next year. Ajayi is done and isn't going to get re-signed, Sproles is just about done and likely to retire, Clement is a 3rd down back and has been a bit banged up as well. They also have Isaac Seumalo as their LG and Jason Peters is running on fumes. That OL is going to break very soon. As for their defense, it isn't great at all and their best corner (S. Jones) has struggled to stay healthy. Their DL has been missing 1-technique Jernigan all season which really hurts their run defense.

Can't speak for the McCourty's. They are usually ranked in the upper 80s in Madden, though.

Thinking the Patriots lose at least one of the next 4 games...

at Chicago (they're pissed over today's upset loss),
at Bills (unlikely),
vs Packers (though their defense is just as bad as KC's),
at Tennessee (team that tends to get up at home for big opponents)

The Jets aren't much of a gimme anymore, either... they also play at Miami and at Pittsburgh. Miami tends to play Brady well at home. At Pittsburgh, who knows where Bell will be or if Pitt will be in the playoff race.

Unusually tough schedule for the Pats this year. They'll probably be 12-4 or possibly even worse, win the division, be the 2nd or 3rd seed.... obviously the 1st seed would pretty much guarantee their ticket into the Super Bowl again. But if they have to play on the road in the playoffs, they could very well lose. Kansas City cannot afford to lose more than 2 more games. Unfortunately they play the Rams in LA, though. And Seattle at Seattle.

correct.... and they hung tough tonight despite big time early adversity on the road. That's what I'm saying, whoever hosts the AFC will represent the AFC for the Super Bowl. Patriots haven't won a road playoff game since the early 2000s. Unlike the NFC, the first seed in the AFC almost always seems to win the conference.

Patriots officially have a great offense and a horrible defense, more polar than pretty much any other year in the Brady era. Shootouts tend to favor the home team. But I don't see New England running the table most of the regular season like they have in past years. It's going to be tougher and the Pats will drop a couple. They'll still clear double digits for sure and win the division, no doubt.

way tougher schedule than last year, and it's not because their division is markedly improved (which it isn't that much, granted the Jets look better offensively than they have in awhile) but because they still play the heart of the good NFC North, Pittsburgh away is a question mark, and Miami away tends to be a loss more often than not, especially when Miami is decent like they are this year.

Chicago away could very well be a loss next week. I think they have a very good team on both sides of the ball, and they will be very angry about blowing the lead today to an inferior team in Miami. Most of Miami's points were because of bad angles on tackling on long RAC plays, kind of a fluky and fixable error honestly.

Packers are NOT an 8-8 team...... because they had a tie early season. But I get your point. Their tackles however are among the best in the league. Bakthiari is the best LT in football. Their interior OL is trash. Their ILBs are dreadful. ROLB Perry is a playmaker, though. Saved another game in a defensive 2 minute drill with a LOS PBU, sort of like against the Cowboys in 2016 playoffs. Their starting 3 DTs are pretty good.

They likely lose their next two games to fall to 3-4-1.... nope, I think they beat the Patsies in Foxborough, so 4-3-1. Then the real season starts.

Part of me wishes GB would trade Rodgers to Buffalo for Allen and a bunch of picks so Rodgers can prove he's better than Brady twice per year and lead an awful, suffering franchise to a division title and championship.

I don't think the league want Aaron Rodger ruining a Patriots SB party.

That's the sad truth. Tampon Tom's "rings" the product of the league conspiring to help the Cheatriots to glory. The Brady 4 game suspension was like the US throwing a cherry bomb on ISIS. An actual fair and accurate punishment for cheating in multiple playoff games, including one that ended in a shootout won by less than a touchdown... would have been to strip the title, Lance Armstrong style. But of course not.

yeah... GB lost, barring a bad field goal miss.

Was there ever any doubt?
