Of course the correct answer will be 2, to be deferred until 2077 (about when the LA Fudgers finish fucking up the spirit of the MLB salary structure paying Shohei off).
Wemby, by then represented by Rich Paul, will advise everyone else but the Lakers not to even attempt trading for him or he'll go play in France thereby cementing Jj Reddicks 4th-14th championships. And the Spurs will have no choice but to like it. Season tickets will then drop slightly from 8000/gm to only 7200/gm as the team will only have 15 yr Euro Leaguers on the team.

Looks like Brent Barry was not the problem in the front office.

At this point it's easier to count what hasn't been a mistake.
Drafting Wemby
Drafting Devin
Yet to be seen if trading Dejounte nets anything.

Well, you're one of two.

Contract details for coaches aren't as available as player contracts, but Sportrac has it that the entire deal is non-guaranteed.

Which is probably true and completely besides the point.
We had some awful years, horrible mistakes were made and all that has been nullified by Wemby lottery luck.
The issue is that they've learned nothing without those mistakes and still have the same M.O.
I said it myself that Wright seems to be a decent salesman, but we're yet to see a single trade that makes the team better.
CP3 was Pop's doing and we were sellers in Barnes deal, we got a pick as a compensation.

I agree and don't see how BW and the FO can suddenly be a good buyer or even judge or character and talent.
I was just making a trait of humor with the classic sniffer narrative.

If and when Brian Wright moves on from the Front Office, he could write a book and start a lucrative Professional Coaching career around building unjustifiable levels of job security for underperformers. "How to Bilk Your Company For Years: I Made Millions and You Can To!"

I mean giving away money to scrubs who don't deserve it or ain't even on the roster while getting paid has been a long tradition here. It started with Pau Gasol, Demarre Carroll, Josh Primo and currently it's Zach Collins. If I ever were a professional basketball player, I'd try my hardest to get to the Spurs and rip them off for a couple of millions by pretending to be a nice guy. Seems to work everytime. They are giving generational wealth away like they Oprah.

Don't forget about 50 Mills loyalty contract.
$wagdaddy Carroll didn't even play any minutes. :lmao
Other teams overpay players when they miscalculate their potential.
Spurs overpay players because they're nice guys. Or they think they are.

would take too long to mention everybody. The Samanic's and Quincy Pondexter's of the world. Carroll played a total of 135 minutes for 14 million dollars. If that ain't the free cash giveaway I don't know what is. Got waived after year 1 and still got paid for another 2 seasons. And of course nobody got fired behind that. Just gotta keep pounding the rock.
