I know it's childish and often times petty, but I love good trash talk. And we already have plenty of good stuff just one week in so Lets post some of the best ones in here.

Embiid vs. Drummond:
"I think I own a lot of real estate in his head," he (Embiid)was quoted as saying by Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Enquirer. "We lost, so I'm not supposed to talk trash, but he (Drummond)knows damn well that he can't guard me

Drummonds reply (via Twitter) : “If that’s so he wouldn’t be so excited to have me off the floor? Think about it that’s a silly statement! I’ll take the W though enjoy flight home #EmmyAward winning actor.”

Rondo vs. CP3:

Rondo - "Of course, the NBA went with his side because I got three games and he got two," Rondo said. "Everyone wants to believe Chris Paul is a good guy. They don't know he's a horrible teammate. They don't know how he treats people. Look at what he did last year when he was in L.A.; trying to get to the Clippers' locker room. They don't want to believe he's capable of taunting and igniting an incident.

" ... He comes out and says I spit and the media sides with that."

No CP3 response because he is playing a "role" but .... his GM Morey posts an image of a pot and tea kettle ...which may be just the lamest, corniest dad jokiest of trash talk in any NBA fued I have ever seen ...

Butler vs. Minny

Butler - "Everybody’s so scared to be honest with one another. If you didn’t like the way I handled myself in practice, one of the players come up to me. Somebody say something, anybody."

Butler - "Everybody has to be honest, again, but everybody has to have winning as their No. 1 priority. Everybody [should feel that] winning is all that we’re worried about."

Butler: “KAT. KAT came at me. We’re up in practice and he said, “Anybody can get this work!” I said, “Do it to me.” That’s all that I said. I said, “Every time I get switched out onto you, you pass it.”

Butler: Who’s the most talented player on our team? KAT. Who’s the most god-gifted player on our team? Wigs. Wigs got the longest arms, the biggest hands, can jump the highest, can run the fastest. But like who plays the hardest? Me. I play hard. I play really hard. I put my body on the line every damn practice. Every day in the games. That’s my passion. That’s how I give to the game. That’s how I give to you guys.

Got to love Jimmy Butler tbh. I know he’s unpopular right now but man he tells it like it is to teammates face. And they maybe can’t handle the truth. Maybe.

10/10 thread btw.

Allegedly the Rondo vs CP3 beef could have been caused by a second spitter... Carmelo Anthony hmm?

Raymond Green vs referees this season?

Speaking to the media on Monday, Green said he was "entertained" by the fracas, but also complained about what he saw as a "double standard" in the punishments that were handed out. Brandon Ingram (https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/basketball/players/2202503/brandon-ingram/) received a four-game suspension, while Rajon Rondo (https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/basketball/players/1113178/rajon-rondo/)will be out for three games and Chris Paul (https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/basketball/players/555969/chris-paul/) sidelined for two. Via the Mercury News: (https://www.mercurynews.com/2018/10/22/warriors-draymond-green-sees-double-standard-in-nbas-punishments-for-lakers-rockets-scuffles/)

"It seems like a little bit of a double standard going around this thing," Green told Bay Area News Group.

I don't know," Green said. "Some of them are questionable. Like Klay's one, Gary Harris (http://www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/2999547/gary-harris) is a hell of a cutter, you got to be into his body. He's flying off the screen to his right hand, he's great at that. So you body up and then you get called for going over the screen, I don't know what you do right there, but in the same sense, some of the fouls we have are just dumb as hell. Like we're in the bonus like six, seven, eight minutes to go in every quarter, we're still fouling -- so I think some of [the calls] are a bit questionable, and then some of them are on us, just ridiculous."

No hate for Raymond tho. The fouling rate with the new rules has been pretty ridiculous and he’s at least got sufficient clout to talk about it. Many other players may concur but they either stay in their lanes or don’t care about defense anyways....

agreed. I love the Lakes pace and that for some other teams ...Lakers/spurs was exciting.
But as a former defense first player ...and a fan of teams that played some defense that led to titles ...I think we have flipped to far to offense.

you really shouldn't blame the refs period ... all season, normally.
But Amb is right they gotta stop rewading flops our the product will be unwatchable.
A high scoring game is fun but weak flops honored with FT's is not.

Yes, but its gotten worse.
Warriors have KD and Steph who are not as blatant as Cp3 or Harden but do it all the same.
IF those teams are the best partially because they manipulate the refs in to giving them Ft's then of course everyone else that wanna win has to do similar tactics to compete.

refs had emphasized punishing flopping and eliminated the KD swim through ...but does anyone get fined for flops anymore?
All of a sudden its flop city again ...
