Fixed the title. You might have been able to do so yourself by double-clicking in the area to the right of the title (on the forum page). That's worked for me in other pages on this site where I don't have modding jurisdiction.

Maps are on http://506sports.com/nfl/

They usually come out on Wednesdays around midday.

GOAT... of getting lucky?

How many times in the playoffs has Rodgers lost simply because the Packers lost the coin toss in OT? I count 3 times off the top of my head...

How many times has the defense let him down?

Yeah, the Patriots defense hasn't been great yardage wise in about a decade, but they always either make a fluke play or they are the beneficiaries of some all-time dumb playcalling on the part of the other team with the ball... like not running on the 1 yard line, or throwing the ball when in good field goal range up 8 points with 4 minutes left trying to run down the clock. Either of those two don't happen and Tommy Boy has only 3 rings, in all of which he was carried by his defense and kicker.

Absolutely. Especially if I'm living in Boston likely paying $3,600 a month for renting a studio apartment anyways. And probably making $130,000 base salary fresh out of college with a bachelor's degree in general business.

$7 to see Mahomes play isn't a bad gig, either, but then again I'd have to put up with having to watch the Browns play so there is that

guy traded his best player for 2 first round picks right before the season started. how can that be interpreted as anything but tanking? then trades away a starter for a draft pick midseason. how is that not tanking?

he signed a bunch of vets to 1 year deals... rashaan melvin, marcus gilchrist, doug martin, jordy nelson (1 year guaranteed, can be cut after this year. only has injury guarantee for next year), daryl worley, tj clemmings, dwayne harris, emmanuel lamur, clinton mcdonald, leon hall, reggie nelson, etc etc. all free agents that were signed to 1 year deals.

Worst narrative ever. That was an veteran team and he walked into a spot where he didn’t have a first or second round pick for two years. The decline was inevitable.

Not to mention it ignores the fact that he built the raiders team that made it to the super bowl. Gannon, Rice, Garner... those were all Gruden moves.

I always thought this too. Didn’t give a shit when I heard he was making a comeback. I know he had some good years with Oakland way back when but from recent memory I just remember that he produced mediocre Tampa Bay teams for the majority of the 2000’s.

never understood the hype but just goes to show that one SuperBowl gives you a lifetime of dick sucking no matter how long ago it was or what the circumstances were (inheriting a stacked team from Tony Dungy)

huh? the purpose of signing vets to 1 year deals is to preserve cap space for a rebuild. from our opening day 53 man roster, only 24 were on the team last year. he blew up the whole roster. that's a literal rebuild job lol

but no no, it makes much more sense to interpret blowing up over 50% of the roster and trading your best player for multiple draft picks on the eve of the season as somebody attempting to win now

i'm not a fan of how gruden has gone about this... and its pretty clear he's already lost the locker room, an ominous sign for a first year coach. but its laughable to suggest they were doing anything other than a rebuild

yes there were bad moves made there as well... but garner played a total of 3 games for Tampa. his main flaw was inability to develop younger qb's despite his QB guru persona. he worked well with veteran QB's (brad johnson, rich gannon, jeff garcia).

From my understanding it's not like the NBA. Regular cap space does carry over year to year. So if you're say, 5 million under the cap one year, then the next year that 5 million is added to the next year's cap space.

Redskins had a good start, but I think it's up to Philly and Dallas if Amari Cooper provides any kind of a difference for that otherwise ghastly offense. Dallas defense is ranked #2 in the league, I believe. Philly and Dallas play each other twice still, and Philly plays the Redskins twice still and Philly usually owns the Redskins.

As Mark Celibate said at the beginning of the year, Dallas has an elite defense but it’s full of injury prone players. If it says healthy then yeah I agree they have a shot.

The main "injury prone" guy is Lee and he's already been replaced by 2 young stars... don't really need a 3rd LB most of the time in today's NFL tbh. The secondary is not injury prone for the most part and nor is the Dline except David Irving who is unreliable anyways.

Tbh when I said injury prone I also included the fact that we also have numerous guys on the d-line who are one PED/puff away from suspension (Irving, Lawrence, Gregory) . Also Jaylon Smith was a big question mark going into the season but he looks good to go now

Lawrence never puffed and his only suspension with an erroneous 4 gamer for taking prescribed steroids for back pain relief over an offseason which the doctor didn't know was on the banned list. If Lawrence ever did get suspended for drugs (highly unlikely) it would be only 4 games, and if it were for PEDs (also unlikely) it would be 10 games, but neither will happen. Lawrence is a smarter guy.

Irving's next suspension of any kind is 10 games, and Gregory's next is a lifetime ban. Gregory probably won't screw up because his life is turned around and is part of the long term plans of the team. Irving is non-reliable and is probably gone in the offseason. The Cowboys don't really rely on Irving these days and were willing to trade him last offseason but didn't get the offer they wanted.

Jaylon Smith hasn't missed a single game or had any injuries since the initial injury from college.

Thanks. Thought Harbaugh made an awful decision to not go for it on fourth down instead of taking that field goal. You go for the TD and the onside kick. Even if the Steelers get the kick, they don't have as much of the field to run out the clock. Hold them to a FG, and you get the ball back down six. Just couldn't trust the team to stop Ben from at least getting a field goal. PIT converted more third downs with the same shallow cross than I've seen use on the Ravens all season. Did once drop an LB back into a zone on one of those plays to take that pass away. Not once.

Thank the heavens the Spurs aren't terrible, at least not so far.

Yeah I reverse what I said and agree with this. The 07 Patriots defense wasn’t great but it was disciplined and didn’t (prior to the Super Bowl) give up the big play. If you do a decent enough job blocking the Rams d line it seems like they give up a lot of big plays.

might not even make the playoffs at this rate... sad

they're 3-4-1 after tonight and we assume the Vikings win the division... GB plays at minnesota which strongly favors minnesota.

so they have to get a wild card, but that tie pretty much functions as a loss in that regard... seattle and atlanta are ahead of them there... and the redskins assuming the eagles win the division. also, redskins have the tiebreaker over them. seattle tbh. And they still have to get over the bears which they should. But to get a playoff birth won't be easy for green bay at this rate

They likely get in at 9-6-1 and maybe even at 8-7-1.

And for what it's worth, that tie should've been a loss. At least it gives them a tiebreaker they wouldn't have had.

8-7-1 won't get a wild card. NFC is way too good for that. Panthers will win 11 and someone else will win 10. And there's no tiebreaker if they lose at Minnesota which is likely.

The tie is WC tiebreaker. Obviously, it's not likely GB will win the division. And 8 wins could be enough if these NFC teams beat up on each other enough and/or if a team or two goes into a slump. It's way too early to tell.

8 wins hasn't been enough to make a wild card in the stacked NFC all century. I think it happened once in the AFC. It's extremely rare. And the NFC is better than the AFC anyway. Though the AFC is better than usual this year.

I think one of the NFC East teams will break out. Winner of Eagles/Cowboys next weekend, tbh.

GB losing to Detroit will ultimately kill them. Detroit may not clear more than 5 wins this year because of their schedule and the bloodbath of a division

They did have more sacks, held Brady to the longest incompletion streak of his career but their QB is 2-7 in the 4th

I'm still putting the Chiefs over the Patriots until KC loses that 2nd game. The Chiefs dominated the Pats IN BOSTON in the 2nd half. If not for a really jittery and fluky 1st half that game was all Chiefs. If the Chiefs host NE at Arrowhead in the playoffs, the Chiefs will be in the Super Bowl. Not to mention the Chiefs also broke their curse the Steelers had against them in the Alex Smith Era.

Chargers are pretty damn good as well. Texans... eh, they could be good or less good later in the season, but they played yet another close game against a bad team.

Cincinnati could be an interesting 6th place. don't see any other team making it, I think Jacksonville is broken
