I am just throwing $hit on the wall here, But What if we trade 2 1st rders and which ever player makes the cash for the trade to happen for Jimmy Butler?
I would trade our 1st round pick from this yr & the 1st rounds from Toronto for him..

prob another thread on here if not 10 of them. But I don't see Timberwolves caring about picks so much. Thibs wants to win. Owner wants a title before he dies. The 4 1st round picks from Houston with meh players doesn't move the needle much. Can't see 2 1st round picks from us doing much, esp when Houston offered 4 already.

I’d give up Murray, Pau’s expiring contract, 2 1st picks and some fillers. I think Murray is the odd man because he doesn’t open up Demar, LMA (and Butler) as well as Forbes. And Demar proves to be the better facilitator so far. Thibs could be intrigued with that cheap contract and all the potential. The problem is it’s just potential so far...
Forbes, Demar, Butler, Gay, LMA
White, Mills, Dante, Davis, Poeltl
Quincy, LW4, Huestis, Metu, filler athletic big

We cant even trade Murray due to injury can we?

A core of of two 29yr olds and a 33yr old. That makes no sense with a roster full of cancerous contracts handed out by PATFO.

I still think we need to wait out the season and trade for OPJ once the Dubs fall apart. Then we will have a 2 year window.

Two worthless late picks and crap filler. How can they say no?

I don’t see the point in discussing because it won’t happen anyway. These blue balls type threads don’t do anyone any good.

Butler is handling his situation in Minny worse than KL handled his in SA if that’s even possible. Spurs probably don’t want another headache to deal with.

Sixers get Butler for basically nothing and the Spurs' shit front office couldn't negotiate anything with Minnesota.

This is what the Spurs need - another ball dominant player who wants to shoot the three.

Should've traded him to the Rockets for 4 firsts when you had the chance, Thibs. Still, :lol at Philly.

It’s officially over Jimmy traded to Philly

HarlemHeat37

Why would Thibs have taken a deal for the future? He's likely going to get fired soon, those picks wouldn't help him:lol Covington/Saric was probably as well as he could have done for win-now pieces..he killed his career by signing Wiggins to a max deal..

Damn, the East is going to be a bloodbath..

Minnesota could actually be better following this trade if Derrick Rose is able to sustain even 75% of his current level..

I am SO SO happy that we didn't trade Kawhi for that garbage of a package. They weren't even offering a 1st round pick. And people on Spurstalk were salty for not trading with them. Lol just unreal.
Sidenote: once Thibs is fired, I would love to get in on a trade for Saric. He is easily worth a 1st rounder.

Good, another team to compete with Toronto and presumably a weaker west team, tho wolves were doing a good job sucking with Jimmy

The ol saric/covington package for kawhi came through lol

Yeah. Makes what the Spurs actually got feel much better now.

Plus this could notch the Wolves down in the playoff race. Though it may also be addition by subtraction plus having two role players in rotation. Especially if Rose keeps playing at this level.

Fine with giving up 2 of Walker, White, and Murray but I imagine we need to keep at least one of Murray or White because we need a pg. Murray, Walker, Pau, + 1st rounder.

I wonder if this boosts the chances of Brett trading for Fatty, they need shooters more than ever....

Fatty for Wilson Chandler works out tbh

Yeah, i'm good with the trade for both teams. Philly needed a shakeup and if they move Fultz they could add another piece this summer along with bringing Jimmy back.

The fit isn't perfect but very good players make it work and they now have 3 tbh....

I would love it, but I fear that Patty is a Spur for life - or until the end of his current contract.

This is definitely addition by subtraction. Gives Minny a chance to re-establish chemistry both on- and off-court.

Even worse if they would have traded for Fultz. I wanted that pos but that's why I'm not a GM :lol

On paper. We don't know how these young Raptors' beasts and Lowry will play under playoffs pressure again. They didn't do it very well in the past.

Toronto's bright side? This trade already eliminated Philly as possible Kawhi's destination next season.

Exactly also the reason they didn't take the Rockets deal.

Smart GM's trade great players out of the whole conference. Butler is back in the East now.

Minny had no choice. They certainly didn’t get better, they just shed a cancer.
