Top of my head Nash 2nd MVP.

Maybe the 80s and 90s guys can chime in.

How was Nash a stat padder? Dude legit set up his teammates on route to great seasons.

:lmao Westbrook literally had to take a night off of stat padding just to make it into the playoffs.

There's a story about Magic stat padding his assists with help of teammates cos he was angry that John Stockton was a better passer. And it's not even hearsay; it was told by Laker teammates on one of their production clips. :lol

He was soft in the paint; but I think to say he was stat padding (above the norm) isn't true. And in 08 he was truly deserving of the MVP for what he did on both sides of the ball while leading a dominant team. Unfortunately, Stern needed to hand out a lifetime achievement award to Kobe.

I wouldn't be surprised.
Magic's assists were always inflated anyway.
Simple entry pass to Kareem, dribble driibble dribble, swing left ,swing right, sky hook.
Assist Magic.
Not to mention his "no look" assists on 3 on 1 fast breaks.
So difficult
