When I was in HS Redwood HS (our crosstown rivals) had a Mexican FB Raul "Smash" Mata, he was a monster, he had little wiggle but a ton of straight line speed and power (Herschel Walkerish). He ran right over me and about three others on a long TD run once upon a time. Scouts from Fresno State, UCLA, USC, Cal**** were in the stands.

His dad got drunk one night after a fight with the wife, he took off with "Smash", after the car wreck "Smash" ended up in a wheelchair, he never played football again.

**** he also played linebacker, pretty sure they wanted there. He'd have to be more elusive to be a college RB.
