I think, in general, every Spurs draft selection gets overhyped by the fans. Livio Charles was once considered a great prospect just a couple years ago until everybody realized he didn't know how to play basketball.

And their main guy off the bench is a rookie who was the 13th pick in this year's draft. They're 24-8 and have the second best record in the East and third best over (going by losses).

Miami's scouts did well finding Nunn and Robinson, no doubt. So I agree with you there. The question you have to ask is whether either of those guys would have gotten enough court time under Pop to be recognized as good players. I think it's pretty doubtful. I think there is zero chance that they would be starting, like they are for Miami.

People can argue that they are starting by necessity, but that argument pretty much gets hammered by the fact that they have the third best record in the league. They obviously deserve to be starting, regardless of how many years they have in the league.

I feel San Antonio is the hardest level gm job due to the lack of flexibility in style, stale free agency appeal and a legendarily stubborn coach. It's why I want the rebuild to happen before RC leaves the building entirely.

yeah the Heat are doing a great job top to bottom, which is most likely due to Pat Riley still being involved. Pop might have turned a corner though, I think this post up DeRozan and let LaMarcus shoot 3s offense might change the season. They just don't seem to know in which direction to head in the future
