He is basically holding the team hostage. If he doesn't get his touches then he really disappears. If he gets them he throws up bricks, but at least still boards (most nights). Going to be that kind of Hobson's choice until he is no longer a Spur.

Exactly. LMA is what Dwight was for Houston few years ago.
Spurs of course don't have a Harden-level player so their ceiling will always be limited. Having said that, LMA demands more "space", "volume" and requires more maintenance than what he really deserves at this point.
I feel like Pop has a moral obligation towards him. His hands are tied somehow and he doesn't have the right age to embark in a feud, unfortunately.
