Yup, it looks bad LMA has been a huge disappointment this season. But he works hard on the floor, and he should get better at some point soon. I think Pop shows some trust on him hoping he will bounce back and play well enough so we can trade him and his horrible contract and hopefully get a couple draft picks and young player, preferably an athletic wing that can defend and spread the floor.

DD is the Spurs best passer outside Gasol, who, as you would know, is injured. The inbound pass needs to be on point to give the shooter or alley-layuper-dunker any chance of getting a clean shot off. The pass is just as important as the shot.

Yeah I know the play wasn’t for Aldridge. My point is, this is why you don’t have Derozen inbounding the ball in. When/if the inbounds play falls apart, you need the one guy on your team available that can make something out of absolutely nothing...like he just did the play before!

I have no respect for Kawhi, but this is the kinda stuff that I sure made his decision to leave easier. This is the kinda stuff that keeps great players from coming to San Antonio.

I'm honestly not sure DD is the right guy for a quick catch and shoot which is what 0.7 seconds calls for. I'd have even less faith in it going in if he's forced to come out to the three-point line to give himself some room to get the shot off. I forget what game it was (LAL?) but DD had a play at the end of regulation drawn up that got him a wide open midrange jumper from the baseline. I thought that was the right call then but he had 2-3 seconds to get that off.

I would've drawn up a play for Davis. Has the quickest trigger on the team and probably isn't a guy MEM would expect to take the shot.

I respect and admire coach Popovich but his final play yesterday wasn't good.
