. . . that by the end of November 2013 Duncan was barely shooting over 40% on the season and he ended the season near his career average. There's still hope for LMA!

LMA does not seem to have the fire in his belly like Tim had. Only certain people ever rise to the championship level. NBA players like Russell, Larry Bird, Magic, Michael, Kobe and Tim to name a few of the very few. Whether seeing Tim in person at a game or on a TV game or in an Ace3g photo, his facial expression always spoke volumes about how badly Tim wanted to win. I have never really seen this out of LMA. I honestly don't know if a championship means that much to him. I hope I am wrong. :toast

I'm just stating that his shot could come back. Statistically, it's not so unreasonable. His mechanics don't look off . . . he's just missing them.

He cannot co-exist with another superstar. If he knew he's the only one that Spurs can rely on, then he'd put it upon his shoulder to win, like last year.

He isn’t the main problem, but his terrible shooting is troublesome. It starting to seem like carrying this garbage roster to the playoffs last year took its toll on him.

Love it how this topic is about FG% regression to the mean and only 1-2 posters actually responded to that.

Sticking to the point will kill a thread faster than anything.

The trouble with regression to the mean is that every shot contributes data to what the mean is. So what the heck is LMA's mean, really? We won't know until his career is over.

Maybe he should claim to be injured, seek a second opinion in New York, and hide in a hotel linen closet until he gets his damn shot back.

I think he’s going to find his stroke. It’s pretty clear that when he’s hitting his shots the Spurs are a much better team, so as a fan I’m banking on it.

The problem is he is getting older and softer, and he doesn't play well with other stars

Aldridge has never been athletic and that's what you're seeing
He labors around the court,he has no quickness or footspeed
