My dad actually liked Trump but no longer lived in US btw ... and my wife has an uncle that voted for him too ...there are people of color that support Trump its not all whites vs minorities as some act.
I dont like the man as a leader of this country but thought he was fine as an entertainer/business man

I got no fuckin' clue how Trump sold that image of himself as a righteous figure who will make "America Great Again", but he did. But by all means, Trump, take us back to the 50s, where marginal tax rates on the highest earners were 80-90%, where Eisenhower proposed a universal health care plan, and where the middle class was making 92,000 per year in 2018 money. I don't think the modern right understands how "socialist" their 1950s American utopia was.

...and nobody actually paid that much because there were so many loopholes. Federal tax receipts as a percentage of GDP still hovered around the 15-20% range back then like always.
