Shared laughs and hugs today. Kawhi has played with some ex coaches and ex players never seen him bother.
Not surprised kyle amd kawhi are close.
Chad forcier is also the main guy responsible for Leonard and Andersom development. Not POP.

Just one guy didn't do it. Even when Kawhi knows Kemba and were laughing and talking before the game...one guy wasn't part of it.
Sadly, bad blood is real after all.

You talking about Tony? Yeah. That was odd. There was definitely something going on. And ai don’t think even in the best it times Kawhi and Tony were close.”, aside from Tony’s heroball and that whole argument back then I remember an interview of a very young Lawhi where he said he didn’t really spend time with the old leaders bc there was an almost 10 year difference and there wasn’t much in common there.

B-b-but Kawhi quit on his teammates. :cry Funny how ex-Spurs players don't seem to care that Kawhi left them at the alter.

Also Chad forcier seem to have a good relationship with Kawhi. I suspect if it isnt PR suicide to say Chad developed him ( chad did develop him) instead of pop he would probably say something.

Speaking of Kyle...
Anderson > Cunningham + Belinelli. He'd be a much better fit with the current roster. Should've kept him :/

It was well known that the 2014 Spurs that Manu, Bobo, Mills and Splitter were the four guys who hung out together a lot.
I could see Leonard feeling like that rookie outsider.
Let's be honest thought, Manu and Parker were big enough personalities that Leonard could never take away the leadership role. To add to that, he was injured all last season. There were many things at play here, and we can never discount uncle Dennis in the mix.
Honestly thought, the Raptors are a better fit than the Spurs. PATFO gifted them not only Leonard, but Green. It was a gift and PATFO knew it.

Chad Forcier developed Kawhi. Presti discovered Parker. Budenholzer has the best system in basketball.
Not sure why PATFO fluffers hate these facts, tbh..

Yeah, that was one of the few times Kawhi has stayed on the court to chit-chat after a game this year...he usually leaves it to Danny to be the PR guy.
On another note, Anderson defended Kawhi pretty darn well last night. I'm not a huge Anderson fan but he played well.

How has Anderson been a bitch ? He has always been loyal to the Spurs and never complained about the way Pop made him play (which was not how he used to play).

But, then again, while Anderson deserves credit, it's also telling that Nephew wasn't quick enough to blow by Anderson. The 2017 version of Nephew would have ate Anderson's lunch, tbh.

Certainly agree on that. It isn't the same Kawhi who battled LeBron and others in earlier seasons. Especially, not the same legs. Not yet, anyway.

Yeah I'm still wondering..
For me part of what made Kawhi special was that while he's not particularly great involving others, he was almost unstoppable. He still got it but seems to have lost a step. Sometimes he looks like forcing his offense and seems to complain about fouls more.
I'm giving it time.

It was a great game. Grats to the Raptors they look legit... they are a really good team. Here's Kyle on defense:

How was it that Kyle was able to stay in front of Kawhi but couldn't stay in front of a No achilles having Rudy Gay? If Pop wasn't such a dumb ass and would have fed Rudy in that Grizzlies game we would have won and Rudy would have dropped 30 on Kyle.

Kyle is pretty funny as a matter of fact. I am just listening to it now. I discovered it doing a search for Kawhi/Kyle trying to look up a video of them greeting each other in that game. I didn't find it but found that podcast. It's pretty funny. There is no beef or beans spilled IMO. He's very respectful of the Spurs, but he really, really glowed talking about his former teammates. It looks like he really enjoyed the team, and benefitted a lot from the veterans not just as a player, but as a person. Good interview.

Kyle was pretty average. Therefore better than many on the current roster.
By all accounts KL should have played his contract out. Demanding a trade, holding the team hostage while he camps out in NYC is chickenshit. I don't care if he had a real injury or not, keeping it under wraps and playing poker with his own franchise is chickenshit. There's no way around it.

/sigh.... if you listened to it you'd know. He's got chinese heritage. His mother is half chinese. Bucher asks him if he looked up possibilities to play for China in international tournaments. He said he looked into it actually bc he was really interested but the Chinese don't play dual citizens in their international team.
I didn't think it was an honest question, but might as well give the answer.

There no argument about it nuff said. I dont care about Lawhi but dude held out with no response then his bullshit interview for the first time in months and having shit spew from his mouth with every word he said. I don't know what when on in the back ground but he bailed and he bailed hard

I'm listening right now. I never knew he was chinese. Always thought it was a running gag to say he should go play in China. I'll admit he transformed himself into a very good defender, but I still think he has more potential on offense if he would just be aggressive

Cool. Good hire by Pop.
It would be weird if the did, tbh.
So maybe I've been doing this internet message board thing way too long, but I'm starting to think all these accounts continuing to support Leonard are probably the same users. That and other particular shared viewpoints are way too coincidental.
I find it impossible to believe any Spurs fan who didn't begin his fandom due to Leonard could still view him favorably.
To an even objective observer Leonard's 2017-2018 disappearing act was as bizarre and indefensible as anything seen in recent sports history. No hyperbole intended.

Peak Rudy Gay was a freak athlete. And despite missing a step these days, he's still more explosive than Nephew.
