I remember when Yao Ming said that the Chinese character tattoos that Kenyon Martin had meant "not aggressive" or "indecisive."
Kenyon responded by saying the characters meant "never satisfied" and questioned Yao Ming's ability to read Chinese.

Then he called out Jeremy Lin for having dreadlocks, saying no one with that last name should have dreadlocks. Yes, the guy with Chinese characters tattooed on him is sensitive about cultural appropriation apparently. Lin killed him with kindness, saying: At the end of the day, I appreciate that I have dreads and you have Chinese tattoos [because] I think its a sign of respect. And I think as minorities, the more that we appreciate each other’s cultures, the more we influence mainstream society.
