View Full Version : MVP?

Mahomes is an obvious pick. Brees was right there before that egg against Dallas. Nobody thought Seattle would be any good this year, but Wilson is leading them to a likely playoff berth. Luck was getting good MVP hype before the egg this week at Jacksonville.

Who else? Watson, Rivers... Gurley?

Darth_Pelican

Brees was leading till this weekend. Mahomes took the lead back. 4 games to go, so it could swing back and forth based on weekly performances. Rivers, Gurley, and Wilson are "candidates", but imho it's a 2 horse race.

Really do need to let the season play out because it's really close right now. Gotta give Donald some love also.

But, if just the...WOW...factor, Mahomes.

Work with me here stupid.

Didn't we read....

Brees had it until that shit Dallas game

Luck was there until that....0.

See how important....one.....game can be? Well we have how many left?

What if Mahomes goes 4/12 ts/int in the next few weeks?

So ya realized how important these final games are when it comes to MVP talk.

There was Cam Newton looking great then............kaplunk, that can happen at any time.

Frankly I'd rather you didn't because you'll end up putting The Curse ®️ on Patrick

Dude, do you pay any attention at all?

Looking at the first 13 weeks it's very realistic to expect...

Mahomes
Brees
Donald
Rivers
Wilson
Watson
Luck
Gurley

to be in that MVP talk, so what we do now is start whittling it down, so what happens in the next few weeks is very important. Too early for me have a real list.

If the Chiefs hold on to that #1 seed with Hunt gone... it's absolutely got to be Mahomes.

They get Sammy Watkins and Berry back this week, I think.

damn you know Luck's klansman media krew is really out in full force trying to brainwash the casual fan when they try and claim him as an mvp candidate despite only putting up the 13th highest passer rating and a .500 record against the weakest schedule in the league. :lmao

despite the egg against Dullass (get it? :lmao, 06 Mav fan, N!ggerbear, etc), I still say give it to Drew Brees. Numbers are still better across the board, and IMO Mahomes is one of the most QB-friendly situations in the NFL which puts him down a notch in my eyes. He's still a close #2 and there's nobody else that is really in the discussion. Maybe Dak Prescott?

For you picking Phyliss Rivers for 4th why do you have him above Goff?

(I don't think either one of them should get any votes)

Funny you mention n!ggerbear, I would have expected him to randomly show up and front run when the Skeens were winning their division.

Most people split the difference between Goff/Gurley.

Yeah, Brees is still on pace for the highest single season passer rating of all time and the highest completion percentage of all time. He might still win it after all. Depends on the last 4 games imo.

Right now Russell Wilson is in that conversation and a big MNF coming up, IF.....he really shines in that "spot"...hmmmm?

And he has KC and Mahomes coming up, IF....he totally out plays the kid which is a very real possibility at home.....hmmmmm?

As we know.....last game.....is real big, it shouldn't be but it is. Week to week, when body of work is what really matters.

Brees is still having a monstrously efficient year... 31 TD 5 INT 74.9% accuracy and #1 passer rating.

Mahomes has him beat in air yards per attempt, yards per pass attempt, TDs, and is barely behind in passer rating.

It "should" be Mahomes IMO

but what if Chiefs finish 12-4 and are a wild card team while Saints go 13-3 or 14-2 and are #1 seed in NFC?

I think it’s Mahomes at this point as well when you consider that KC is second to last in defense.

New Orleans win last night just shows how dominant they can be by winning a defensive slugfest on the road. We know they’re offense will be fine in the postseason since they’ll be in the dome. Tbh they look like a sure lock for the Super Bowl at the moment.

Agreed. NO is dominant because they finally have an upper half defense. The NFC has disappointed me this year. That said, holding down even-year Scam isn't an accomplishment.

What about Rivers? Gordon has missed large chunks of the season, and their defense has missed most of their best players for big chunks or all of the season.

Millennial_Messiah
12-18-2018, 04:49 PM
IMO you've got to truly admire a guy like Philip Rivers who makes accurate pass after accurate pass standing tall in the pocket and taking big hits almost every other time and getting right back up and doing it again and again.
