The fact that this invariably makes Kawhi, Uncle Dennis and some of their followers on this site HAPPY, really annoys me.
Who happy about this?

2 games under .500 in early December is not the time to throw the season, especially with so much parity in the West. But something has to reverse this recent trend. We'll see if Pop, RC and their charges have it in them.

Agreed. But Pop has been way too stubborn about making changes. That needs to stop. Maybe it's time that HE gets over himself, tbh.

Dude, what are they playing for? The privilege to be mediocre and get swept by GSW?

I knew the game was over when spurs went down like 20-13 and were struggling to score and Pop’s fix was to insert Cunningham.

Need a break out game as an opposing team or player? Just look forward to playing against the Spurs and be guaranteed that it will happen.... SMH... Don't want to imagine what the Fakers are going to do against this team.... win by 50 points? If that were to happen, the Spurs just might be banned from national TV for the rest of the season.

Maybe if they were losing close games then I'd agree. But they've been getting blown out by about 30 pts in the past few games. That's probably killed morale and they've probably given up

Who would even want to play for this team? Like say you were Ariza with Golden State, San Antonio, Toronto and Philadelphia competing for your postseason services. GS offers Iggy straight up, SA offers Mills and a pick, Toronto CJ Miles and picks, Philly TJ McConnell and Chandler. The Suns GM couldn't care less and leaves it up to Ariza to decide. Is Ariza really going to clean his locker with a smile on his face saying "Ooh boy I can't wait to share the clogged floor with Derozen and Aldridge!"

I'll be shocked if this isn't a blowout loss tbh. Jazz are now the healthiest they've been all season and always seem to play their best basketball against the Spurs at home. Hell, Rubio always turns into Curry when he sees a Spurs uniform.
Wow Robz. You got it man. Even down to Rubio getting uncharacteristic hot shooting

Everything blew up when Number Two wanted out. Suddenly everything that was built around him becomes irrelevant, but PATFO doesn't attempt to make adjustments other than than to hopefully get DeRozan in exchange for continued high volume midrange scoring. Also with the emergence of Murray to have a all around breakout season, again, PATFO put all their eggs in one basket with him, too, hoping that this team would stay competitive. But whem he went down for the season with his injury, this also drastically affected the team's rhythm and flow on both sides of the ball. But they would also suffer on the defensive end with the departure of Green, Anderson, etc. The way this team has to win right now is is to have both Aldridge and DeRozan score on a average of 20 points each; RG22 play well by giving them at least 15 points a game; Bertans & Forbs would have to score at least 10 points each per game, while the bench would have to give you another 15 to 20 points or so. All of this would have to be done at a nightly and consistent basis EVERY GAME! Oh, did I also mentioned that they would also have to play good defense and commit low turnover percentages on a consistent basis, too? Until PATFO makes drastic changes either this season or the next, then we'll be in for watching a whole bunch of games like this and their chances of maintaining their playoff streak is in grave danger.

Might seem desperate but I would start Poetle. He looking comfortable out there on both ends and Spurs could use his D to make up for their smalls looking absolutely helpless when applying defense.

some of us already predicted this when the roster was formed with a lot of players under 6'6 '' and less than 1 small forward

:wow incredible. team has really given up on that senile old fucker

they did not give up, they do not have the physical ability (and basketball IQ) to defend in the nba currently, if they try they will only commit a lot of fouls and lead the other team to the free throw line practically the whole game

Suddenly everything that was built around him becomes irrelevant.

this team was built around Greg Popovich (with Kawhi or Derozan), unless someone really believed that a team around Kawhi would consist of a lot of dwarves, if that's the case, Pop went crazy

1. Anything is better than a 2pt shooting psuedo-all star.
2. You didn't have to double down on midgets and losers like Forbes, Beli, Cunningham, etc.
3. Didn't help that the Spurs blew their load the summer before on Mills and Gasol for culture instead of looking for an upgrade in talent. Their fault. No one else's.
