The Knicks are trying to acquire either Darius Miles or Ruben Patterson from the Trail Blazers, according to the New York Daily News. The Blazers want expiring contracts in return while the Knicks are offering Malik Rose.

Miles is one player among many who hasn't lived up to his billing. This year we expect he'll see more minutes than ever, regardless of whether he's in Portland or New York. However, it's a long shot that a deal gets done with the Knicks only offering Rose.
